In end year financial report, what investors want to see is the beautiful bottom line figure despite the downturn and the company beat the previous analyst forecast even by a small margin. Cant blame them for that, it the investors money that start and runs the company projects, and what the company gained from that project is for the operation of the project and also the investors dividends. Like here all say we are just ikan bilis in the wealthy game

However, this year dividends payout for all oil majors are expected to pull back into capital or reduce dividend payout. Which again investors are not happy about that. So where to get fast cash to both gain capital and still maintain happy investor dividends?

Selling assets and cutting potential current losses. The idea is to sell off whatever that making marginal profit or still have not breakeven return and store the cash from sales during downturn for next capital expenditure hopefully when oil price rises up again. The company which is laughing their ass off now are companies that have the capital to buy used asset at discounted price when others are fast to offload even at ridiculous cheap price

i think one the saddest story was Jurong Aromatic, just want to start kena hit and production been stalled ever since

But i hear they are starting up again around middle of the year, and they will start hiring to run its operation. Those who want to work at SG, should keep an eye on them

Not downsizing but reducing working hours on Fridays. I think its a good move. So everybody's salaries are cut slightly.

I think losing 10% of your salary is a better and more viable option rather than finding a new job.

Fingers crossed I don't bomb this opportunity lads!

I still have Inpex pending and might have secured an offer at Snowy Hydro though. Not good, too many choices.

I applied for 2 positions and 2 programs last year in December.

So far:

- They'll give you an IQ screening test, if you can most correct and finish 8 out of 10 pages within the time limit, you're looking good. They're quite hard but not impossible.
- There is a personality screening test, make sure your answers fit the general psychological profile that employers look for (depends on position)

I'll be doing the interview tomorrow afternoon, hopefully all goes well.

But surprisingly, when we offer new job to candidate with 35% increment comparing with his last salary. He refuse to accept & asking 85% increment.

And yet he just 3 years experience and just being lay off from his company.

I LOL hard on this guy...
