Allowance is the same since 2012..500 je  blush.gif
But it's okay, no experience nothing to bargain with  rolleyes.gif
*
looks like my place intern is still lucky with 1k+ allowance, there is plan to revise it. me last time no allowance at all, plus use own petrol money to be mail boy for boss. my advise to intern under me normally, be proactive and use your brain. don't expect ppl spoonfeed everything.

Salam n good day all. Need your advice. I'm 3 years as  static equipment engineer. Is it worthy for me to maintain or explore others roll such as piping, rotating or structure? Which position have better pay by consider mech background and office base job? Thank you. smile.gif
*
one of my previous trainee is static equipment engineer in Petronas Carigali (perhaps due to project me n my colleague give to him during practical mostly related to static). but if you never have experience in piping and rotating, u may explore, for me as mechanical person, u should know both

QUOTE(mohdyakup @ Mar 14 2015, 05:16 PM)
If you want a fat paycheque Shell Upstream (SMEP) is where you want to be - SSB (Sarawak Shell Berhad) and SSPC (Sabah Shell Petroleum Co.)

Shell Downstream Refining (Shell Port Dickson Oil Refinery) mana ada gaji besar unless you are a Production/Operation Engineer or Tech. Operator working on shift rotation, I believed the post is very limited. This applied to Shell MDS too (GTL Plant) located at Bintulu, Sarawak.

Shell Retail and Lubricant under Shell Trading Malaysia - well its a retail sales job, commission based - so gaji tak besar. Kau paham2 jer lah.

But if you are working under any Shell projects be it downstream & upstream construction and fabrication - on contract basis - is fat paycheque opportunities.
*
their safety department also 5 figures salary average

note : but downstream 5 figures not like upstream 5 figures

Hehe my job scope are more than doing clerical stuff like you mention above, its a full fledge contract administration from pre-award, post-award until contract closure.

Procurement scope is during pre-award stages.
*
u can do that for our project type contract awarding, i mentioned previously only for routine works.

Muhibbah is our subcon (GenCon) for my project brows.gif And yes they are looking lotsa peoples to run my project.

Beside Muhibbah, another GenCon is CCEM or China Chemicals Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd - also my subcon for my project - also looking for lotsa peoples for my project.

Please approach this two subcon because seriously they are lack of peoples to run my project. This is the perfect time to build your O&G project reference in your CV. Susah benar nak cari orang sekarang banyak main project Middle East sahaja because the pay over there is kinda gooding.

No I wont feed you who are the HR peoples in Muhibbah and CCEM. Cari sendiri. Abang Google kan ada. Snail mail your CV or walk in to their HQ offices at KL if you are serious looking for jobs.

Do not ask about working condition and such. Aku sendiri kerja sepuluh jam sehari, Isnin sampai Sabtu, masuk pukul 0700am sampai 0600pm. Ini lumrah project. Long hours is a must. Even Ahad pun aku kena kerja tapi OT dibayar cantik laa brows.gif

Maafkan saya yang lemah dan tidak berpengalaman ini.
*
my colleague went interview for BASF-PETRONAS itself, they post advertisement for the vacancy, maybe ps3roxor can apply as well

so Fluor is the main con there i see

Not downsizing but reducing working hours on Fridays. I think its a good move. So everybody's salaries are cut slightly.

you're in upper level kot. I'm project engineer in vendor. obviously low tier vendor and sub sub sub con. so i learn a lot on troubleshooting and actual technical work. commissioning and everything. but nothing about cost and all management stuff.

but anyway, project engineer is still a good place to learn.
*
Later can further add knowledge in project management, planning etc. Learn Microsoft Project & P6 if got chance, for project management, can try Kepner Tregoe oso got another (me forgot)
