bloody maxis...im still waiting for my 4g backup sim and dongle.told me 3-5 days will deliver to my house.but since 31/8 still cant see anything.called 123 2 times they will investigate whereabout my sim and dongle will call back for update.but till now 19 days still nothing.DM in tweeter for maxis support already 6 times told the same thing...such a small problem cant solve? @Maxis

Should I change from tm to maxis fiber, family plan seems like a good deal.

Last Monday (13 Sept) I have reported the Huawei router provided by maxis is intermittent down.
Today (19 Sept) they come and replaced the router. After 20 min the issue happened again.
I have actually used my fren ASUS router to use for more than 2 days.
So I assume it is not Unifi fiberhome ONU issue, or even power supply issue.

Is this a common issue for every provider (unifi/maxis/etc) that we must change the default router? Else huawei router is really not good based on the issue i faced.

Also, any chance i can get refund for this? basically i nvr served by a 24x7 internet since first day ... lol

Intersting though, since wouldn't Unifi TV be a conflict of interests with Astro?

What's the catch ? Was inform by Maxis no catch and contract extension.

The catch is what they didn't tell you: After one year, not free any more, you pay full price. AND Whatever add-ons with your current plan will reset ikut/override to their 'new' / 'free' upgrade plan's add-on policy.

TLDR: depending on your current plan+add on the catch, you WILL pay more after one year. And no its not 'free', its the free sample drugs model, they hope you'll like it and pay more

Received a so called "upgrade  offer " from Maxis.

Currently on Maxis 100M @ RM129 & Maxis offered 300Mbps @ RM129 (Sound pretty good).

But when I check for the terms, offer is only for first 6 months, on the 7th month onward u hav to pay original fee @ RM149 + contract reset for another 12 months.

Hi, currently my home fibre is using copper wire and max speed is only 30mbps. Is that possible to ask maxis to pull the fibre optics cable to my unit.
Currently unifi already upgraded the building infra, and now optics cable is available.

In theory, in a technical sense fiber is superior to copper, doesn't have RF interference, doesn't conduct (high voltages, ie think lightning to your equipment) etc.

BUT in practice, the difference is marginal (for 30mbps), considering its just copper to the base of your high rise building (or wherever the equipment shelves are in your local), not hundreds of kilometers away across an ocean (speed of electron in copper is close to the speed of light in glass anyway). It's highly likely from (isp equipment shelves, in your building) then on  its all fiber anyway

Copper is just a convenience as its already likely to be installed already from telephones lines when the property developer built the building, so its a cost thing. Fibers dont cost that much to make (at scale) but they do cost: to have man power to lay down to every single unit, and naturally as a business every ISP is trying to minimize that

So while waiting for installer to come, then suddenly mxs call, installation cannot be done, need go maxis ctr 1st
I gave that mxs no to ejen for them to call
After call, ejen said ok i need go mxs ctr

How easy it is to get public IP? Need to beg and whatnot? I won't prefer this way. I already bought my own router - Asus TUF-AX3000, so I supposed I can configure myself. I need public IP for my Switch gaming.

Same here. I remember last time IP will be changed to other but now cannot anymore, now like fixed IP. I'm still prefer ip start with 121, seems better connectivity to China website & app.

After 1 year, Maxis raised my 100Mbps from 99 to 109... damn... later chat with them

has anyone ever experience this scenario

my taman unifi port opened on 24/1/2022.

the same day i tried to apply maxis through agent, agent replied with maxis screenshot stated PORT IS FULL.

obviously, unifi registration still coming in as i was in the taman whatsapp group.

i am suspecting unifi hogging all the port until certain date only they will allow maxis coming in.

Just found out that maxis increase my 100mbps price to RM129 last month.

After the RM30 rebate ended, they billed me RM109 for December which I accepted okay but now at RM129 a month later, I think about porting to Digi or Celcom or even Unifi.
