Hi guys,

Im thinking of buying a new router to replace my Thompson TG784n v3.

And have shortlisted it to the D-Link DIR-850L.

Just a question, is this model compatible with maxis fibre and is the setup easy? i have searched for any related thread but there dont seem to be any.

appreciate your help.

Anybody from Batu Caves area? Want to check for feedback on the service. Plan to install either maxis or unifi. Plan to go with maxis since on Maxis One plan and can get cheaper for Fibre service (RM128)..main purpose will only be for surfing and streaming.

juz shift from unifi 5mbps to maxis ftth, thought i'm not gamer maxis will do well for daily drama watching. but i realize at night watching drama will have buffering occasionally. i guess the streaming link i watching is running on p2p. does maxis throttled p2p at night? from windows network monitor i see at night 1.8-2.5Mbps while watching, then buffering occur also the bandwidth at those range..

Why my bill now RM156.88 ? Previously only RM148 ?
Maxis said service tax (6%) will be replaced with GST (6%)... so amount should be same ?

Coz my astro bill remain same with before n after GST...

Hi, I am currently the user of Unifi 20mb and thinking to upgrade to Maxis 30mb. I am staying in Kajang and may I know how is the quality of their line? Same as Unifi?

I am using Asus N66 and Netgear R8000, these two support Maxis Broadband?

Do they have quota from torrent? I am a heavy downloader.

Thanks.

The article in The Star stated that ISP used to absorb service tax but now with GST, they have decided to pass on the cost to consumer. Oh well...
