Incidentally, with about 200k visitors and each with a goodie bag, assuming each is worth RM10, that is RM2 million in PNB cost. Not counting the draw grand prizes.

Nahh... Everything is claimable from LHDN. This is part of CSR and when it comes to CSR, you get back pretty much what you put in

Although ASNB distribute goodie bags, some1 "BTS" could sponsor those goodie bags

yeah, maybe u are right.. some went multiple times thus counted as 1st timer

as for the goodie bag, gift etc. PNB subsidiary companies could sponsor them which indirectly promo their company brand name / products to MSAM visitors

If my useless memory serves me right, the last time they did in KL ASNB couldn't get anywhere near those figures. Even there was once done in Seremban and couldn't get any crowd either

I think last time this funds isn't that hot. And if they make it near lrt, it may work like a charm.
Because I think back now, very few people who willing to fly over swk and how they reach that figures is really impressive.

The last time I attended the MSAM in JB, young children outnumbered the adults as it was like a carnival. And most Bumi has account in ASx to enjoy the special privilege.

I would like to ask about opening of as1m at asb office. If my family is willing to donate 100 units to help me open, can asb open a new as1m for me?

The best time to try is at ASNB's office early morning when it just open. No guarantee but at least banks are not open yet and less people to grab your family's sales of ASx units. But first u must get an officer who is willing to do it.

Last week, I went to ASNB to open a AS1M account but the unfriendly counter guy said funds fully subscribed for non-bumi so refused to try. I then see an Officer to subscribe for the 'Peristiharan Amanah' service n at the same time I requested to open a new AS1M account for my nominee/child, she instructed the same guy to do it n I managed easily to get rm100 for the new account. I think it is not hard if you try small amount but u must 'bodek' them to at least try it.

U can, but I took up 'Perisytiharaan Amanah' cos ASNB offered it in April for RM100 instead of RM190.80 (GST inc). And your nominees will get the units transfered to their accounts within 21 days. U can find more info here:
