True that. I know a lof of people who have been taking a "wait and see" approach with ASB2. I guess they'll just dump everything into ASB2 now and take a fresh 200k loan for ASB and just like that, you're almost a half-a-millionaire already tongue.gif heheheh

Would have to wait for the annual report to be published to compare its portfolio with the rest. Mind you, ASB2 is the first fund under ASNB that is allowed to invest overseas so looking at how EPF did with its overseas investment returns, it's not entirely impossible.

something missing in the announcement.

Their standard script is " ASB2 actually can distribute xxx %, but due to the obvious reason, we only distribute x% and carry forward the y% to the subsequent financial year......."

Heard from some journo friends that it wasn't part of the official press statement read by the chairman but the CEO did say that actual capability is around 10.22 cents per unit during the Q&A session. Not sure if it'll get published, so we'll have to wait and see.

It's not in ASNB's MO to not carry forward earnings for a rainy day rclxub.gif

Speaking my mind here.

It seems friends in this forum are the calm AS1M type vs the nervous AS1M holders elsewhere who are selling their AS1M like there is no tomorrow.

Or there are some AS1M sellers here who prefer not to mention it? If there are some, please share your view here.

Do they know something which we do not? Knowing something and speculating something are 2 different things.

Whether the AS1M run away sale is due to 1MDB or not, hope AS1M will continue to grow and reward its holders. Ha ha.

Cheerio.

Maybe my poor reading skill is to blame.

I read the above that:

AA
we will not be able to do ASM transaction on 5 April 2015 (and other ASX as well).

BB
No ASN transactions from 1-5 April.

Right?

Went to ASNB after picking up my daughter from school. The general assisting clerk told me no ASM transaction today till 5 April as the system is down for upgrading. I thought that is for ASN and ASM will not be available on 5 April.

Went to PM and they have not upgraded their system yet for ASM!

Wanting to put in some money into my sons' ASM accounts. Now this "you can't do this etc etc".

What an unproductive day!

Then the ASNB staff should really go for better training in doing her job.

I did ask whether this system down thing was to reduce the queue. She said no.
