BBC: Only a single road left for Ukraine government troops in Debaltsevo

The rebels said on Monday that they had cut off the final supply road to Debaltseve, a strategic railway junction, which is near the rebel-held city of Donetsk. However, Ukraine's military told the BBC that the battle was continuing.

Military spokesman Olexandr Matuzyanyk told the BBC "there is fighting going on for this road at the moment".

Thousands of Ukrainian troops are believed to be in Debaltseve and the nearby area. Heavy fighting has been raging there for more than a week, with the rebels gaining some ground.

Ukrainian government officials say nine soldiers and at least seven civilians have been killed in fighting over the last 24 hours.

Pro-Russian separatists attempt to reduce Debaltsevo 'cauldron', deploys super-heavy artillery guns

After very much cutting off Debaltsevo from the rest of the Ukrainian government frontline, pro-Russian separatists bring super-heavy artillery pieces in an attempt to reduce the salient by heavy shelling. Amateur cameras have recorded a squadron of two 2S7 "Pion" 203mm heavy artillery guns at an area claimed as Makeevka, in the Donetsk district:

This is what a 2S7 "Pion" looks like:

i not sure wat i saying is true but one comment i get from a military personal before is

Indonesia buying and our buying style are different

ours, is gradual buying process meaning there major advance procurement every 5 years or so following our RMK plan and timeline.

Indonesia is slow then reach a certain period they will buy big, real big then slow down again, also very depending on economy and who is the president laugh.gif

is like kumpul duit dulu, and spend one go while ours is slowly buy bit by bits.

well at least it still a P-8, dapat hidu juga

If we were to buy which is highly unlikely, most likely will also be Neptune variant offered to india.

maybe indon will be making the c-295 for pinoy since they can license built them anyway

Missing in the list is two unknown US navy ship.. wonder who will come LIMA 2015

don't think so. EADS dun give permission to IPTN to sell C-295. IPTN only made for indon air force only.

if not they wont be competing for pinoy tender

Currently government emphasis more on public transportation.
As for military I think it will more on esscom.
Apparently the government wanted a significant improvement on the cas at esscom.

well, we will see on LIMA.
I would still say heli like little bird will come instead of a full fledged attack heli which will be on another separate plan

The initial plan was for a armed heli gunship instead of a anti-tank heli. More of anti-personnel.
*
Such role will be fill by aw109, nuri and blackhawk.
not sure if the got plan buying little bird.
if they have such plan I think they will buy more than the suggested amount.

tube arty can reach up to 100km (with RAP round). rocket arty can reach up to 3x that range

new thing I learn ... never know there are 2 type of arty... are there any counter measures? kind of like can stop these arty from hitting target... ballistic missile can still be countermeasures..

do war ships/ destroyers/carriers fire arty? more often I see the arty damage is piercing effect isn't?
