i find when m2 is moving around 70 -85km/h is most efficient.
And the RPM should never touch the 2K mark smile.gif.

Oh yeah I wanted to ask this too, I don't think it is possible from inside the car as I don't find any buttons to off it. Perhaps need to mess around with electronics of the car. If it is using the ori running lights, I will on it 24/7. LOL jk.

For everyday runabout car you probably go for Honda City. It reliable, practical, plain-Jane and comfortable B-segmenter.
The Mazda 2 does get very, very close to it, though.
But where the Mazda 2 really makes up for any losses against the City is with its sheer sex appeal.
Not only does this car look as cool as it does, it drives well.

Well honestly speaking, just go ahead.. The engine are designed to last... If you happen to found any cracking sound from the engine, then you need to notify the SC immediately.. Do note that this is high compression ratio Engine, just like Diesel engine design, lower RPM to archive higher Torque.. smile.gif You have to understand the mechanism of the engine design, in-order to archive your feels toward the cars

I archived 5L / 100KM, travelling from KL to Kelantan today. Only Pump RM 54 to make it full tank again, Millage on the clock are 530KM. So the FC calculation from the MZD seem accurate..

Traffic, hard to verify becoz the moment i start the car and idle for roughly 2-5minutes(usually wait for mother), the Current AVG monitor shows 20 to 58L/100KM(i got 99.9L/100KM before). Then i'll have to drive n gradually reduce it. As long as i am not on a highway.. its gona be 9-10L/100KM(FAIL!)

On your steering, press the info + or - till u see the "Current AVG". That is where you can practice ur footing and that is where u will see RPM and speed has nothing to do with FC. But it is super challenging to maintain AVG below 8 when you need constant braking. sweat.gif

Even driving at housing area with a lot of humps will get you 10L/100km liao. sweat.gif

Honda City is actually the more practical B-segment family car. I've been tempted to get it but got even more tempted by Mazda 2's sex appeal like u said. biggrin.gif

But I personally think the 2 are opposite ends of the B-segment line-up though. laugh.gif

That is exactly why some people don't bother about FC on non-EEV laugh.gif
Mazda 2 is designed to be more fuel efficient but at the end of the day it isn't an EEV. Deswai some people say if FC really so important go for 1.0 car or go for those eco car like Attrage or Mirage or electric cars if u can afford the premium. laugh.gif

On the bright side Mazda 2 output power is still very good (just haven't really push and compare it with others yet). brows.gif

Have been driving M2 sedan for 1 month+, been driving it normally, moderate driving mode, not too light or too heavy foot. 80% highway, 20% city, using VPower R97 and my average FC is 6.4L/100KM or 15.62KM/L

Very happy w the car so far, absolutely a good buy.
