Hello, new joiner here. Booked M2 sedan white few weeks ago.
Does anyone has the info for M2 DRL bulb type? Is it P21W? Plan to change to white LED.

QUOTE(chinlail @ Feb 5 2015, 06:28 PM) Got my red HB yesterday. The only complaint is probably the paintwork, orange peel compared to M6. Driven normally it's smooth! Good pickup without having to floor the pedal. Sports will Rev to 4000 before upshift so it's not a good idea for now. Not as cramped as I thought but then I'm short. A bit short on storage space but who cares, it drives well. Do let us know your fuel consumption once you have enough data.Steering has enough feel at 110 and its steady. Bloody pickup truck made me do an emergency stop and there's no drama, wish horn is louder! Keeping revs below 3.5k there's enough shove in city use, not as sluggish as reviews say, can't wait to get it to redline. Should get under ten seconds I think. Suspension firm but can feel the long wheelbase makes the ride cushy. Really like the compromise. Engine and road noise are there but at 110 it's not bad. Sound system is beyond my expectations but still need to play with the MZD. The HUD is floating around, only showing speed as I don't have the sat nav. Gotta go |

Thanks for the photo bro. Hopefully sedan will arrive soon. I plan to have huper optik tint. Quoted RM 1200 after discount. As for DRL bulb, plan to get white LED from eBay. Still sourcing the right one.

QUOTE(chinlail @ Feb 10 2015, 12:55 AM) I must say, I have very little to fault.. Very impressed so far. Yeah, no LED DRL but once behind the wheel all is forgiven. Loved my little Suzuki and considering I paid the same price for it ten years ago, this red beauty is miles apart. No rattles, good FC, six freaking gears and oh so smooth! No guts to try 6500 rpm yet but it already zoom zoom. Thanks for the review and photos! Appreciate it. Is the headlight bright enough at night? How about the auto climate control aircon? Good enough?Gear change is smooth and kick down is quick even without Sports mode. Tachometer sweeps around smooth as butter that I needed to pussyfoot so that it doesn't hit 5k. The iStop seems smoother than the one in M6 2.0. My friend who owned a series of expensive cars like Legacy, Mini Cooper etc was impressed with the interior and equipment level. MZD lets you double lock, yet to test it out, and lets you automatically lock the car once you walk away from it. Aussie reviews seems too harsh. Like they have such a high standard so that other reviewers don't look down on them. I'm Pleasantly surprised that the car is better than what they say, Cons? Body panels a bit soft outside. Center panel where the gear lever is still moves a bit when you push it with your thigh. Back is small but heck, I don't want to fetch so many people! I hardly use the back seats anyway. Center storage not enough. Horn not loud enough. Tires hard to upgrade. For MZD connect, have you tested on other apps like Aha? From your FC figures, seems to be able to yield 16+KM/L, and I'm so impressed by it. Thanks again bro. |

Just called neighborhood car battery shop, 55D23L MF dry type battery (Korean brand he said) cost RM280. RM680 is standard retail price. For RM280 I think it is reasonable. Normal battery cost from RM180-200.

Back to the tint question, base on your experience, which tint can effectively shield heat from the hot sun? Reading shows Huper Optik Ceramic 50 is not a good candidate for heat shield.
My current car is with Eco tint security tint (forgot which series) but it is damn good under hot sun. Can't feel the heat by putting my arm next to the window under hot sun. However Mazda associated tint shop does not offer Eco tint. |

QUOTE(terion @ Feb 10 2015, 03:59 PM) i think the tyre is the one that will make the biggest difference. Totally agree. Security is a great concern considering crime rate is high. I didn't know Eco tint security film is such costly. I think I paid RM1100 last time after discount for my MPV. Will go back to the shop to get a quote for Mazda 2. Until today I still think Eco tint is doing a superb job. Will update again once I have the price & model for Eco tint. What sanadi meant about the aquaplaning is based on the fact that the wider the tyre, the easier for it to aquaplane. but also depends on the tyre pattern and brand in the end ya i heard ECO not bad but i think nowadays tinting got for 2 purposes 1 is of cause to block out the sun ray, ultra violet light, etc... which is the primary reason to fix tint in the first place the 2nd is security, which to me i think is more important that blocking out 99% of UV rays but of cause the darker the tint the better la the problem is usually the security type tint, wont block out as much as a normal heat shield type tint |

Still waiting for my SA to confirm delivery date for M2 sedan white. I'm from Penang. Hopefully will get the car before GST implementation.
Just wondering if we can install proper DRL (eg: Philips' 12825WLEDX1) in consideration of iStop feature in M2. How about installation of 4300k HID? Nowadays a lot of cars are bundled with 4300k HID, hopefully won't attract unwanted troubles. |

Our authority is not able to give a clear indication whether or not it will be cheaper or vice vesa. Just follow your heart for the decision.

Getting my white sedan this week. Going for Eco tint premier (Hybrid 6mil) at RM1700 (after discounts)
Still searching for suitable DRL LED bulb P21W. Plan to replace its air filter to K&N as well. I will contact SpeedWorks for the correct filter model. http://www.knfilters.com/air_filter/Mazda_2.aspx |
