Hmmm when u climb a ramp is it powerful enuff? Just my personal thought after driving m2, the car seems less power at initial state, it needs some time to catch up, but after everything smooth, u can fly however u want.
Perhaps maybe I am not use to it driving car like this. lol..

When u r using auto (D), is there a way to know which gear level current its running at?
*
i think that is the linear driving that mazda is talking about biggrin.gif

Yes. Will struggle to climb up hill.

There's this mini hill next to SMK Taman SEA at PJ(enroute to ss2).... m2 reli struggle, but ofcoz if keep tekan it will downshift and then pull the car up in expense of FC

If you are trying to keep FC at a minimal while hill climbing den u will face that problem. I climb the ramp at 2.5krpm at about 18L/100km FC. sweat.gif

Didn't really need to tekan much more than that to go up. hmm.gif But if u stop half way den need to move up the FC will go up to 25L/100km. sweat.gif

On auto cnt really tell but you can tell but how many times the rpm needle suddenly go up during downshift and go down during upshift. hmm.gif
Switching to M can also. laugh.gif

This is exactly the case but I dunno if it's right to call it "struggle". hmm.gif

Hi all!! New proud owner of a Soul Red Mazda 2 HB starting from 31Mar. bought the car from Jalan Ampang Bermaz. just want to ask if anyone here has information on how to get the posh looking projector headlamps and also another question is that I found the headlamp height adjuster but does it work with the halogen units?

We are all eager to see the original Mazda projector headlamp but unfortunately it won't come cheap. Probably 2-3k + GST.

Headlight height adjuster works with halogen. Original ma. laugh.gif

Struggle becoz it somewhat turned into a tortoise with a mere speed around 20-30kmph but thts becoz IF we want to UP the hill linearly which the car cant at 2k rpm.

The car wouldnt have any problem climbing but bye bye to petrol only la hahaha. It's the same old tekan minyak n downshift to go up

i would say its juz like my old car except tht with those fancy FC info on the M2...My foot juz doesnt want to tekan

You find the best position for your headlamps in the manual.

Position it at 0 if there are no rear passengers or cargo in the boot (so 0 if you're the only in the car, or if you have only 1 passenger sitting in front)

Actually the best way to gauge FC is to just drive the car normally.
Uphill, downhill etc...
Normally when approaching an uphill, i will just click the left paddle shift to drop a gear, make it up the hill then upshift balik.
FC so far ok. Mixed is 7.4L/100km... Good figure if you're in Kota Kinabalu.

As for the projector LED lights.
You can get from Mazda Singapore.
It costs 2.2k sgd per side... 4.4sgd for a pair.
Very hefty I know.
The car is still pretty new hence the high prices for the parts.
Give it a year or 2 when production stable down and parts availability is more abundant. Prices will go down.
My friend is keeping an eye for me from the Singapore Mazda regional parts centre. They do not have it yet, only on special order, that is why it's pricey.
They do have the Mazda 3, 6 and CX-5 lights and it's cheaper.
It is from them that say to wait when they have ample parts availability.

2.2k sgd tak boleh pakai. But probably theirs so expensive due to their hefty import duty

Expensive only because it's still new and only available on special order at the moment.
Projector/LED lights for Mazda 3 and 6 is going for around 2k sgd a pair...

Unless anyone have any friends over at the Land of Smiles... Rayong to be exact, can ask to keep an eye at the parts centre.
Logically, Thailand should be cheaper.
Funny isn't it? Thailand manufacture those parts.
Singapore is the regional parts centre.
Malaysia got nothing... rolleyes.gif
