QUOTE(ssaturn @ Mar 30 2015, 11:05 PM)
Just collected my Mazda 2 White unit today... smile.gif

As far as my calculation over the price after GST, I conclude that the car price will up a few K

10% Sales Tax, change to 6% GST, and 6% (bonus part, Bermaz will be able to off set the 6% since the 6% are intentionally to charge on consumer).

The 10% sales tax calculated from your (car base price + 75% Tax),

price with 10% RM 42K + 4.2K (10%) = 46.2K
Price with 6% RM 42K + 2.25K (6%) = 44.52K

Pre-GST product cost RM 46.2k
Post-GST product cost RM 44.52K - 2.25K (6%) = 42K
- The reason we -6% is because the company able to claim (off-set), 6% is set to bear by consumer.

From the logic calculation, car price should drop by 4.2K if company willing to off-set the 6%

Current Pre-GST Mazda 2 Price : 78.8k + 6K =  84.8k
Prediction 1. Post-GST Mazda 2 Price : 72K + 6K = 78K + 6% = +-82.68K (different by -2.12K)
Prediction 2. Post-GST Mazda 2 Price : 76K + 6K = 82K + 6% = +-86.92K (different by +2.12K)

Conclusion, I predict is either cheaper 2k or expensive extra 2k.. what you guys thinks?

i understand, i seen the AP, the base price is so so little haha.
On the other hand i think M2 could easily beat City now on fuel efficiency. I could achieve 5l/100km to 6l/100km ,
But of course city is much bigger and heavier than M2.
Overall for driving pleasure=M2, for best value =City.

The 5 and 6l/100km only applies on cruising speed on highway. on normal city drive such as PJ is damn difficult to achieve. I travel from PJ to bandar utama and im getting like 9l/100km.

Anyway 34litres of petrol im getting like 355km mileage only. thts 10.4L/100km in which 80% city drive 20% highway...

Still havent finished my 2nd refuel. so c how

I'm pretty new to leather seats. I don't think the M2 leather is genuine, perhaps synthetic leather?

But still what's your advice to maintain it?

The leather seat is genuine, real leather, just those on the dashboard and on the doors is PVC.
There is leather cleaner and conditioner for the leather, you can get from many shops.

If you wanna find car that specialized in saving fuel during traffic jam. It will be a 1.0 axia , manual somemore. But driving in that is rather sad ..

So you actually nvr even bother about fuel consumption? Not even abit?

Fuel Consumption is supposed to be part of the selling point of the mazda and now im trying to prove it to support the car.

On highway, ive experienced 4.9-5.1L/100km (PASS!)

Traffic, hard to verify becoz the moment i start the car and idle for roughly 2-5minutes(usually wait for mother), the Current AVG monitor shows 20 to 58L/100KM(i got 99.9L/100KM before). Then i'll have to drive n gradually reduce it. As long as i am not on a highway.. its gona be 9-10L/100KM(FAIL!)

Attached Image

As below, its a very BOLD claim. But then ofcoz our Mazda2 lacks the I-Eloop though i doubt it helps alot.

number is based on highway and not city, but based on the numbers i'm getting it's very impressive for a PETROL car.
