My proposed solution :

1. black list Espionage
2. Refund me RM 60.
3. ban Espionage
4. Return me a processor (1ghz at least, since that is the thing that is spoilt)

if solution 2 and 4 cannot be fulfilled, i will ask se7en to consider making decisions between 1 and 3, since seller pretend donno already (the seller NEVER SAY SORRY since beginning of time I told him things is spoilt, hell good of businessman)

I would be delighted if you could show me the "fine print" in DELL's warranty policy that stated the terms of warranty as said by you. And also, where did Espionage posted his "terms and conditions" about his personal warranty covering his items including postage delivery and delays.

hey .... i don't get see the deal of this issue.
i've been trading here, and most of the sellers i meet, ENSURES their stuff reaches me safe and well, and on top of that, CALLS me to make sure my newly accquired stuff is in good working condition. Shreaker , kelvinsykoh, ksking are a few of such ppl with good ethics.

the thign here is, i dont' see why our dear seller (espionage) can't do the same.... instead he insists warranty has ended therefore no refund. just curious....

I mean the T&C before trading starts. No point having T&C after there is problem. That is not acceptable. It's like you trade with me...it's subject to my T&C as when I see fit. That's is irresponsible.

see, that's the thing - nothing you've posted, even with purchases with DELL, is in any way helpful to solving this dispute.

firstly there's no dispute on the matter of when the warranty started, even Espionage stated it starts when item reaches buyer. so the DELL warranty starting-date rule has in no way contributed to this point.

anyway the comparison is far from being straightforward.

now back to the topic at hand - the issue here is how should Espionage settle this matter with his buyer.

and till now, i've not seen any explanation on the ridiculous nature on the warranty that voids if item doesn't go back to seller within that 7 day period, which means that if you discovered the fault even 2 days before the period is over and on a weekend - you're screwed.

IMO the faulty packaging itself shows that full-refund should be given to the buyer for the processor. seller mistake, why should buyer be deprived of his $$$ for it?

i demand that Espionage to be at least blacklisted for his sambil lewa attitude.

another of his mistakes done. seller should have at least draw or stick the fragile sticker on the item box, so that the posman would be more carefull when handling the "mobo+cpu+fan+ram"

don't talk abt dell la. my roomate who bought dell desktop claimed a new 15 inch lcd on the last day leh. the complain was filed on friday and the item was delivered after weekend. by right the warrenty period should have been expired right? but still they gave him the LCD replacement because the problem was lodge within the warrenty period. If Dell has their own terms and condition printed then i suspose the seller were to post the conditions before he starts selling the item right? so i think its not suitable to place a company sales with individual sales here

I think the buyer should at least be given some compensation. both the money and item is now at the hands of the seller. not much but at least there should be some. have you guys tried to salvage some money from pos laju to claim the mishandling of parcel (if not mistaken poslaju can refund some money if delivered item is discovered spoilt due to mishandling but not much la). that should at least reduce the burden.

there seems to be no word on the seller. hope that both seller and buyer can achieve a win win condition here. cheers

Avenger, I know you're kinda frustrated but try not to go into Espionage sales thread and create havoc there. You'll might get yourself into unneceasarry trouble. Just report to the mod will do.
