the 400TP = RM1 is for all redemption ie vouchers, GST and etc

Example :

now we can pay GST 12500TP = RM50, after 1st March 2015, it will be 20000TP = RM50

They will call me back on the Visa Signature cashback redemption soon.

VS cashback rate at the moment is maintain at 250TP = RM1 till further notice from Maybank.
the 400 = RM1 at the moment is only for the general redemption rate.

So I guess is good news for VS user as their redemption still maintain.

I did call up to MBB CS, they mentioned the revised treatpoint conversion rate is apply only for those wanted to use their treatpoint to change to airmiles.

Did you lower your threshold amount for SMS alert? If no, the default threshold is RM 1000.

And where can I check my treat point?
Maybank2U under Rewards menu. Individual card details no longer show it.

Depends on wehther the vouchers they hold is old or new stock. Normally valid for 1 year, except for everlasting AEON's.

i think this is the result of Bank Negara's payment card framework which came into effect January 2 2015, which reduce the interchange fee issuers can charge. In this case, banks are earning less, hence they have to pay out less too.

My CIMB Bank points oso suffered inflation too. I think other banks will eventually cut down their cash back. The best at the moment is OCBC card with 1% cash back and 1.2% cash back. they will cut too.

it was supposedly january 2015. now it is july 2015. but inevitable nonetheless. gives us additional 6 months to enjoy this. like you say, we should brace ourselves for reduced cash back later on.
