There is a bug in handling the thread instruction inside lv321av.sys driver which is not properly handled. It tries to derefence a null pointer (memory location is no longer valid). Probably, due to bad thread programming, the race condition has occurred. Worst, the bug has not be solved by the device manufacturer of Logitech Orbicam used as OEM webcam in Acer laptop models. Try to see any update for this device driver.

Windows XP SP2 was released on 25 August 25 2004.
Windows XP SP3 was released on 24 March 2008.
Windows Vista SP1 was released on 4 February 2008.

Reported cases after Windows Vista SP1:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=258426

There are a few reported cases of driver problem after the that release (possibly after the SP3 update):

http://www.fixya.com/support/t539019-oribc...ng_system_crash

In a French forum, it says the person is suffering BSOD (écran bleu = bloqué sur l'écran bleu = stucked on blue screen of death) with the driver.
http://forum.telecharger.01net.com/telecha...messages-1.html

There are a few cases occurred after update from Windows XP SP1 to Windows XP2

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1284052

http://forum.notebookreview.com/archive/in...p/t-207910.html

So, this driver problem started regardless of every service pack update.

Try to get the latest Vista driver for your Orbicam from here:

http://www.windows-vista-update.com/Logite...dows-Vista.html

The given link redirects to a paid/subscribed RadarSync service.

Another link redirects to a paid/subscribed DriverZone.com

http://www.theacerguy.com/2007/04/14/orbic...-windows-vista/

So, best way is to get the latest orbicam driver for your laptop model from Acer website.

Another possible hint to the problem:

the ks.sys driver used for multimedia/audio stream application (probably while running wmplayer.exe plugin in iexplore.exe) wrongly deferenced to a freed memory.

It seems that ks.sys is used by other DLLs. Probably, if you've recently upgraded from Windows XP SP2 to SP3, there are some mismatches between DLL versions causing conflicts with existing SP2 and SP3 DLLs.

This forum thread mentions that it is better to reinstall Windows XP SP3 the standalone package to solve this issue.

http://www.neowin.net/news/main/08/05/09/x...d=635637&num=24

There is also ks.sys issue with Windows Vista SP1 which has been addressed:

http://msmvps.com/blogs/donna/archive/2008...8-kb950127.aspx

Try to attack other possible vectors which do appear in your attached crash dumps: which version are you using? Is there any documented issue with service packs?
1. Windows Media Player
2. Internet Explorer

Other than that, are you using any third-party codec pack? Try to remove the pack and use the default codecs provided by Windows.

The above exercise is to isolate the problem. See any error coming or not.

ok yesterday, i reformat my comp once again..running windows media player ver 11 & Internet Explorer ver 7 and SP3. with no 3rd-party codec pack. no MoBo unility program (EasyTune5 Pro). Everything running fine.

this morning, when i install MoBo utility program (EasyTune5 Pro), BSOD STOP: 0x0000000A occured. when i uninstall, everything fine.
i'm going to install 3rd party codec, and see if BSOD occured or not... will let u know then..

You could try this steps below to open the minidump folder,

1. Click Start/[cool.gif button and click on [b]Run option.
2. Type %SystemRoot%\minidump and click OK.
3. Zip or RAR those files (e.g. mini090508.dmp, etc) you can see and upload to this thread.

From there on, we'll try to analyze your system crash file and try to find the culprit causing your system crash.

Either your system memory having problem (less likely) or you could try to remove / uninstall / disable cFosSpeed software. All your minidump files seems to be pointing to that software cfosspeed.sys and running in idle mode.

Your system error seems to be point to bad driver memory management. Try installing the correct driver for your motherboard.

You could upload the minidump files here for more detail analysis.
