Hopefully before posting a problem, please state in detail about the current system.

Ok, are you suffering from random reboots in Vista, right?

Check the following:
1) I presume you are using a laptop/desktop with dual-channel capability. Please confirm the RAM brand, size and type on all channels. If they are not the same, get the same type and size for the memory module in each channel.

2) Is the power supply unit is matching according to the motherboard specs? This is to make sure each component of the PC subsystems are working at optimum power consumption.

3) Is there possible misconfiguration of your IDE/ATA hard disk channels? If you have two IDE/ATA devices that are sharing the same channel, make use one device is a Master and the other device is a Slave. This is to avoid possible conflicting direct memory access (DMA) in your HDD driver.

4) Reinstall the drivers if you have recently installed a new hardware. This is your main problem (VISTA_DRIVER_FAULT) when an unknown process "@µ‚" (wierd process name, I guess) tries to access a hardware with a faulty driver. If you know the driver, you can rollback the driver in the System Hardware properties of that hardware with the faulty driver. If you are unsure, try the System Restore and rollback to the last good configuration.

5) Disable File and Printer Sharing in your Network setting. This is to isolate problems related to SRV.SYS. Check the validity of the SRV.SYS to make sure it is coming from Microsoft (in %SystemRoot%\system32\DRIVERS or C:\Windows\System32\drivers\)

6) Check for virus or malware (due to the unknown process "@µ‚")

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck.  Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem.  Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003.  This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG.  This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG.  This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: bf84e7ce, The address that the exception occurred at

the samething just keep on repeating .. i have to turn off the supply and try again... and keep trying til it success loaded winxp

and my pc just auto restarted, and i google around and found this thread in lyn
*
Hmm, I have seen this kind of symptom (boot->login->auto-restart loop). Normally, it is due to a faulty hardware. When Windows tries to load the kernel driver of the faulty hardware, it immediately triggers system restart with no memory dumping reports.

I am starting to see Windows Vista users with BSOD related to the system kernel process "ntkrpamp.exe". This process is also present on Windows system with PAE x86 motherboard support:

From MSDN:
QUOTE
The operating system image file that is installed depends on whether one or multiple processors are to be supported, and on whether Physical Address Extension (PAE) is supported. (PAE is active on systems with more than 4 GB of physical memory.). The file names on the distribution medium are as follows:

ntoskrnl.exe => Uniprocessor x86 architecture systems with 4 GB of physical memory or less.
ntkrnlpa.exe => Uniprocessor x86 architecture systems with PAE support.
ntkrnlmp.exe => Multiprocessor x86 architecture systems with 4 GB of physical memory or less.
ntkrpamp.exe => Multiprocessor x86 architecture systems with PAE support.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms792430.aspx
What is PAE?
QUOTE
In computing, Physical Address Extension (PAE) refers to a feature of x86 and x86-64 processors that allows more than 4 gigabytes (GB) of physical memory to be used in 32-bit systems, given appropriate operating system support.[1] PAE is provided by Intel Pentium Pro and above CPUs (including all later Pentium-series processors except the 400 MHz bus versions of the Pentium M), as well as by some compatible processors such as Athlon and later models from AMD.

The x86 processor hardware is augmented with additional address lines used to select the additional memory, so physical address size is increased from 32 bits to 36 bits. This increases maximum physical memory size from 4 GB to 64 GB. The 32-bit size of virtual address is not changed, so regular application software continues to use instructions with 32-bit addresses and (in a flat memory model) is limited to 4 gigabytes (GB). The operating system uses page tables to map this 4 GB address space onto the 64 GB of total memory, and the map is usually different for each process. In this way the extra memory is useful even though no single regular application can access it all simultaneously.

For application software which needs access to more than 4 GB of memory, some special mechanism may be provided by the operating system in addition to the regular PAE support. On Microsoft Windows this mechanism is called Address Windowing Extensions (AWE), while on Unix-like systems a variety of tricks are used, such as using mmap() to map regions of a file into and out of the address space as needed, none having been blessed as a standard.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension
PAE support is only available in Windows 32-bit systems.

If you suffer this memory addressing problem related to "ntkrpamp.exe", please to the following:
QUOTE
To enable PAE, use the BCDEdit /set command to set the pae boot entry option.

Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP/2000:  To enable PAE, use the /PAE switch in the Boot.ini file. To disable PAE, use the /NOPAE switch.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366796.aspx
It would be useful to give information about your System RAM size, Windows OS (service pack) and CPU when facing "ntkrpamp.exe" issues. This is help us to isolate the problems related to the process and RAM memory hardware. And to debuggers, please include such information when posting the debugging result report like below example:

Try to enable the PAE option for the time being. And report if anything happens again. This is to help isolate PAE and other memory related issues.

QUOTE

Click "Edit" button in the System Startup when appending the "/PAE" switch and then reboot (don't forget!) And don't try to modify other things in the boot.ini file (warning here! Otherwise, you will face problem to boot up Windows and have to go to through Recovery Console or Windows CD recovery console). It is advisable to create a boot.ini backup first.

Have you tried the "/PAE" switch in boot.ini yet (and reboot after that)? Create a backup before editing boot.ini file.

I'm having this problem as indicated in this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/782566
enclosed is the zipped file thingy
thx for the help!
*
There is a bug in handling the thread instruction inside lv321av.sys driver which is not properly handled. It tries to derefence a null pointer (memory location is no longer valid). Probably, due to bad thread programming, the race condition has occurred. Worst, the bug has not be solved by the device manufacturer of Logitech Orbicam used as OEM webcam in Acer laptop models. Try to see any update for this device driver.

Windows XP SP2 was released on 25 August 25 2004.
Windows XP SP3 was released on 24 March 2008.
Windows Vista SP1 was released on 4 February 2008.

Reported cases after Windows Vista SP1:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=258426

There are a few reported cases of driver problem after the that release (possibly after the SP3 update):

http://www.fixya.com/support/t539019-oribc...ng_system_crash

In a French forum, it says the person is suffering BSOD (écran bleu = bloqué sur l'écran bleu = stucked on blue screen of death) with the driver.
http://forum.telecharger.01net.com/telecha...messages-1.html

There are a few cases occurred after update from Windows XP SP1 to Windows XP2

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1284052

http://forum.notebookreview.com/archive/in...p/t-207910.html

So, this driver problem started regardless of every service pack update.

Try to get the latest Vista driver for your Orbicam from here:

http://www.windows-vista-update.com/Logite...dows-Vista.html

The given link redirects to a paid/subscribed RadarSync service.

Another link redirects to a paid/subscribed DriverZone.com

http://www.theacerguy.com/2007/04/14/orbic...-windows-vista/

So, best way is to get the latest orbicam driver for your laptop model from Acer website.

Another possible hint to the problem:

QUOTE

running on Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP3

the ks.sys driver used for multimedia/audio stream application (probably while running wmplayer.exe plugin in iexplore.exe) wrongly deferenced to a freed memory.

It seems that ks.sys is used by other DLLs. Probably, if you've recently upgraded from Windows XP SP2 to SP3, there are some mismatches between DLL versions causing conflicts with existing SP2 and SP3 DLLs.

This forum thread mentions that it is better to reinstall Windows XP SP3 the standalone package to solve this issue.

There is also ks.sys issue with Windows Vista SP1 which has been addressed:

Try to attack other possible vectors which do appear in your attached crash dumps: which version are you using? Is there any documented issue with service packs?
1. Windows Media Player
2. Internet Explorer

Other than that, are you using any third-party codec pack? Try to remove the pack and use the default codecs provided by Windows.

The above exercise is to isolate the problem. See any error coming or not.

I have encountered tcpip.sys BSOD once. It happened when I had both Wifi and Ethernet active at the same time on different IP addresses while downloading a torrent. The open connections got confused with both IP addresses and triggered BSOD. I had to reinstall the network driver and it worked fine after that. Immediately, in my torrent application, I forced the IP binding to only one IP address to avoid possible TCP/IP conflict.

I think you should get the latest version of AVG. AVG free version is now limited in functionality unlike before. I believe you should get other free anti-virus that can provide a lot of functionality without restrictions like Avast!

Hi i've been having problems with BsOD

I tried solving thru ways of trouble shooting that was introduced at the 1st page.
However, to no avail.

each time i solved a BsoD error, another came.

Mind to help ?

Many thanks.

You have numerous INTEL_CPU_MICROCODE_ZERO in most of your minidumps, which this error is rarely documented. Try to update your BIOS to correct Intel microcode data (Intel CPU "firmware"). Or, you can try this Microsoft's hotfix to improve system realibility with your problematic Intel processor.

It appears that Windows update has already applied the hotfix:

Check for your BIOS update from your motherboard manufacturer. Use google.

Sorry, I will not do that. You need to search your BIOS by yourself. I believe your motherboard is from Biostar

From your minidump history, you have suffered from INTEL_CPU_MICROCODE_ZERO since 30 Dec 2007. The hotfix KB936357 has been introduced since 4 Dec 2007. I think that hotfix is the culprit. Try to remove hotfix KB936357 from Add/Remove Program. But, don't do this yet.

I still prefer you to find the BIOS update rather than remove the hotfix.

There is BIOS Agent Plus scan plugin that you can try to determine your BIOS. Try it.

So i update my BIOS which is downloading the Phoenix-Award?

Here is my BIOS update
  HOME (system summary)
   BIOS
   - Phoenix-Award                     Bad   Download  ( prompt me to download)

Please advice
Thanks

Click the Download button next to "BAD" report for your Phoenix BIOS. "Bad" here means that your BIOS is not the latest one. But, before that, confirm the properties of your Phoenix BIOS by clicking on the Phoenix link
