QUOTE(cyew86 @ Dec 16 2008, 12:39 PM) need to run memtest86+ for whole day if i have 4GB RAM? guess i will have to leave that until i finish my work but there is no more BSOD after i reverted back to Catalyst 8.11. previous troubleshooting linked to ASUS softwares which i have installed in my system. perhaps 1 day i should reformat my PC and choose not to install any ASUS stuff and see how it goes. thanks for the help Added on December 16, 2008, 3:41 pmedit: i have ran memtest, no error found so what's left to be done is uninstalling all the ASUS craps in my PC Do you have ASUS ENHANCED DRIVER installed? if yes, please remove it from the system. Thanks

QUOTE(db07mufan @ Dec 16 2008, 10:03 PM) some new dumpfiles today.. I observed the two minidump file you attached. One referred to bad pool caller and one referred to critical object terminationBoth the bugcheck pointed to system thread handling. If you have check your RAM is cleared and your HDD is clean, i suspect now is your processor having compatibility problem with your Mobo. It could be the file caching problem by your processor. But what i suggest you to do is run your system with only one ram at a time. See if this test will manage to let you found something strange such as a faulty RAM slot. You can have a try on it and see how it goes. This post has been edited by francischuahcw: Dec 17 2008, 12:18 AM

francischuahcw: Remember my problem ? Dual-boot + sp3 ?
I tried so many ways to slipstream sp3. Finally got it right. There's a bug with nLite. Cannot works with SP2 which was already slipstreamed with other drivers in it (eg: sata driver).
I had to manually slipstream from dos. And in the final xp sp3 with sata driver: haih, that cd actually skips the main menu, even the t&c page, straight up to the list of partition detection. Could not even access recovery console let alone the repair option.
Guess i've got no options but to reinstall xp ? That the last resort ?

Death of Blue Screen

QUOTE(Pinvader @ Dec 21 2008, 09:38 PM) my ram temperature is normal..plz help Sorry for the late reply. Did you monitor your system temperature (e.g. CPU, north-bridge chipset and also graphic card)? You may want to do a full memory test on your system for a few cycle to see if your system RAM fail over long running time. For the software, you may want to Windows Memory Diagnostic.

Hi, i am not sure if you telling you the right solution. But this is the normal WinXP repair method that i do;
1. Boot the computer using the XP CD. You may need to change the boot order in the system BIOS so the CD boots before the hard drive. Check your system documentation for steps to access the BIOS and change the boot order.\
2. When you see the "Welcome To Setup" screen, you will see the options below
This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft Windows XP to run on your computer:
To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.
To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.
To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.
3. Press Enter to start the Windows Setup. To setup Windows XP now and Repair Install , press ENTER. do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R", (you Do Not want to load Recovery Console). I repeat, do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R".
4. Accept the License Agreement and Windows will search for existing Windows installations.
5. Select the XP installation you want to repair from the list and press R to start the repair. If Repair is not one of the options, END setup. After the reboot read Warning#2!
6. Setup will copy the necessary files to the hard drive and reboot. Do not press any key to boot from CD when the message appears. Setup will continue as if it were doing a clean install, but your applications and settings will remain intact.

Hi, I have a problem here, cannot boot into windows. My PC POST successfully but BSOD will show up at windows vista loading screen, then my PC restarts. Previously I've overclocked my E7300 to 4Ghz with no problem, except that the temperature's too high for daily use. So, I restarted my PC and underclock it to 3.8 Ghz, then the above problem occurs. I've also set the BIOS settings to default, but it doesn't work. Help please My specs are: Core 2 Duo E7300 Biostar Tpower I45 Team Xtreem 800 Mhz DDR2 1GBx 2 MSI Geforce 8400GS Sorry for my english Edit: The error code is 0x0000C1F5 This post has been edited by EasternBadge: Dec 24 2008, 01:17 PM
