lol, under warranty, for hardware yes.
Got dual-boot i dun think they would help. Cause the technician said i wld void warranty by doing so. Therefore would only go if h/w got problem.

Btw, you were right, i dun have those files, all in the laptop, gotta backup. Cause i think that sp3 was beta 2nd/3rd batch. If i use the latest patch of sp3 can it work ?

Just go for a trial and error.
Else, you have to ask them to unplug your HDD and backup for you. So that your warranty wont void.

Agree, once the problem become too complex, send it back to service center la... that's why you paid for the warranty, or that's why there's warranty! tongue.gif

Reason for the crash is unknown.
Is that happens when you use Vodafone application. VMC.exe?
Please check if the application is compatible with your Window

There are many outdated driver in your system. Some are NT driver and some are back to 1999.
Please update your driver if possible.
Thanks

Go to My Computer and locate C:\Windows\Minidump or C:\Minidump. Once you have the minidump folder, please zipped the whole folder and upload it here (using add attachement function) or other web hosting page mentioned below. Please provide the link to download your file.

I got your thread here
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/760600

Is this pc still new? You have a faulty RAM or maybe a bad sector in your HDD which affect the file paging.
Do you run memtest86+ to test your memory or run CHKDSK scandisk for your HDD for bad sector?
If you have other minidump file, i would prefer you Zipped the whole folder here.

Thanks

Hi cyew86

As i can see that you are using Vista 64bit so do expect this problem happens often as Vista 64bit is aint that stable as far as i am concern.
Debugger show no problem with your graphic driver but it pointed to your RAM. Excessive paged pool usage causing unstability on the RAM.

1st debug

This is a common bugcheck and clearly stating memory corruption on svchost.exe.

This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

Can you run a memtest86+ on your RAM? If Vista64 bit giving you this trouble, i would suggest you try downgrade to 32bit to see if problem occurs. It could be driver conflict of VGA with Vista 64x

thanks for the reply francis, my computer is fairly new i think less than a year only.

Here is the link of some of the dump files.. the thing is the error message differs each time, there isn't any fixed errors i think.

http://rcpt.yousendit.com/634546318/65722c...43c34cf4a74a5e3

How long will memtest take for 4 1gb sticks? Cos i need my pc to work actually will like to agak when to leave it on.

Just want to let you know that i really appreciate your effort, hopefully i can solve my problem

thanks!

Added on December 16, 2008, 9:17 amfrancis,

a bit of update, running memtest for 6 hours now. Middle part shows 4 passes, and 0 errors. And bottom it says PASS COMPLETE NO ERRORS, PRESS ESC TO EXIT.

BUT the test is still running, do i consider it done or do i have to let it run.

Added on December 16, 2008, 11:31 amlatest update!

memtested test # 5 and #7, i tested for 5 rounds, all 5 passes for both test. I'm putting ram aside for the time being..

chkdsk my C Drive, nothing seems to be wrong, will continue with D and E later on while i'm out. Should give you an update in the evening.

Meanwhile, have a look at my few dump files above, hope i can settle this prob once and for all.

appreciate your assistance francis! thansk!

need to run memtest86+ for whole day if i have 4GB RAM? guess i will have to leave that until i finish my work doh.gif
but there is no more BSOD after i reverted back to Catalyst 8.11. previous troubleshooting linked to ASUS softwares which i have installed in my system. perhaps 1 day i should reformat my PC and choose not to install any ASUS stuff and see how it goes. thanks for the help

Added on December 16, 2008, 3:41 pmedit: i have ran memtest, no error found
so what's left to be done is uninstalling all the ASUS craps in my PC
