Yeap. But there's one big thing that nVidia brought to the market first, multiple cards (SLi, crossfire). ATi's knee-jerk reaction was a bit funny, the hideous DVI cable connecting both cards outside biggrin.gif
Ah. I'm so not up-to-date. I was looking at the new cards and thought, "so, where do I connect my DVI port?"
*
Naw brah, 3DFX brought that in with the Voodoo 2, so when they were bought over by NVidia, NV had access to all their expertise. But yeah, ATi's solution was effin retarded.

I oso not up to date, once in a while when something new comes out, I come out of my tech cave and find out that I'm generations behind in hardware. My last PC lasted me from 2008 to 2014 before that sial DFI mobo meletop laugh.gif

hahahah i see frustration over tessalation, lets wait for guru3d benchmark then we will see how far amd improved their new chip from the hawaii.

If AMD still loses out to maxwell, looks like AMD need to reconsider their business in the GPU market, Nvidia in other hand is focusing primarily on GPU development and AMD is juggling CPU and GPU.

I don't know what's the fuss over tessellation, you can configure tessellation detail in CCC. IMO the visual effect of it isn't subtle and you won't miss it.

The number isn't out yet so stop with the 'If' thing. Just wait. It's not going to be long.

Pricing by GTech Solutions (Hikari85)
Sapphire R9 Fury X 4GB RM4899
Sapphire R9 390X 8GB DDR5 RM2059
Sapphire Nitro R9 390 8GB DDR5 RM1569
Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4GB DDR5 RM1039
Sapphire R9 380 2GB DDR5 RM899
Sapphire Nitro R7 370 4GB DDR5 RM799
Sapphire R7 370 2GB DDR5 RM699
Sapphire R7 360 2GB DDR5 RM509

That FuryX price is definitely wrong. I think should be RM2899?

Quick and dirty answer, no idea. It depends on a lot of things, BUT more RAM is always nicer.

The most likely answer is that AMD have calculated that high performance nature of HBM and the higher bandwidth offered by processor mediated DMA and PCI-E 3.0 should be enough to cover for things.

Technical explanation.

Thanks for the explaination bro . I guess I'll have to wait until they came out with 4k game benchmark.

If we consider that R9 290X is 280watts.

Then

(175/280) X 2 = 1.25 (Fury Nano 175 watts divide by 290X's 280 watt, then times 2 because Fury Nano has 2 times performance per watt of 290X)

it means Fury Nano is 25% faster than 290X!!!

New stuff + GST.

Wait for sometimes and may be the price will consolidate to 290x's current price.

Back then, for 290, the RRP changed once due to over demand caused by Bitcoin miners. So for a short period, our price actually as cheap as US's pricing.

I'm a noob when it comes to graphic card history . But I find it strange AMD does not care about the mid tier gamer who only budget is around 300-500 usd

Fury x to be fair is for high end level , not really surprise about overseas price and local is another story. Rebrand for mid tier and charging the same price is almost shallow like what their competitor did . Cant they learn from NVIDIA 970 best bang for buck until 3.5gb fiasco

In other words those with decent brain left just get crossfire 290x instead ? Oh crap freesync doesnt work on crossfire LEL
