390x pricing will depend on how good the titan x is. If it exceed. It wont be cheap. Wont be suprised if it beat the titan x and pricing is at 2.5k.
AMD/NVIDIA pricing is reflective of each other on where they sit on the charts unless there is a workstation combo which titan x is not. Since compute this time is nerfed.


290/290x will be rebranded to 380/380x. and hence forth.

Dont see the 290 price change and a new 380 rebrand might actually cost more in the beginning. Just like what happen to 280x vs 7970ghz.

that game is generally the same as what you get in crysis 3 but because the AA on it is not as crazy you get higher fps. is ure clocks stable. youre hitting at the power target. and ure fan profile is default. so max ramp normally 60-85%

280x price went down already. the 290x now should be the cheapest. When 380x launch will be more.

Again this is all assuming the 390x is between the titan X and the nerfed version of it. If it beats both hands down. Expect 390x not be cheap.

Maxwell is akin to time of core2duo for intel. Everybody thought amd will challenge soon.

Amd better not sit on their laurels. They need to make more efficient gpu.
They have lost the desktop cpu, then notebook cpu n igpu and nowhere to be found on small form factor pc/tablets/ultrabook etc.

290x was ok because alot of ppl ignored the power requirement it used.

If they dont challenge nvidia in all levels this time.. I fear whats gonna happen with pascal. Maxwell is a truly incredible jump from kepler.

390x n Fury X or whatever the naming scheme better rise up. Nobody even cares or even bothers on amd cpu refreshes n updates but all know intels roadmap. Lets pray this does not happen with discreet gpu.

As for AMD sucking is basically 290x issue with tessalation. Its the key and paramount tech in DX11 and they just like ignored it. As for gameworks using it.. well its the tech for DX11. so..

that being said. This cannot go on with Fury. Already got screwed with 390x. Just a "Enhanced Refresh".

AMD users to me personally at the moment seriously fanatics. Their loyalty is akin to BN supporters. They buy cheaper, Hotter, Uses more power cards to compete with a smaller more efficient NVIDIA.

Nvidia Users are really not fanatics. More like ppl who just want gaming easy. Install game, Let GE scan and optimize. Play Game.

Fury performance. It needs to beat or atleast close to titan x 2800 score in 1080p heaven 4.0. If its still bad we already know the tessalation on it sux big time.

Hbm is expensive to be early adopters. Y does amd need it now. They should concentrate on architecture and drivers or do they think amd fanatics will just love it

What i am suprised is how tolerant amd supporters are. Currently they are akin to voters of BN. Ready to pounce on PKR but dont see how they are getting farked by BN. Bad driver update etc.

dude first i am not about the dough. and titan x vs 980ti put price point etc aside. To me 980ti is a failed binning. 6gb maybe enough for ure gaming but aint enough for mine. So again leave that arguement aside if price is always going to be talking point.

I had up to 3x290x. A 1200 PSU couldnt even boot while a titan X/780ti tri-sli had no issue. The heat amount from it was ridonkeylous. Even a Mora had trouble cooling it on water. As for overclocking. please. The margin you get on Nvidia atm is ridonkeylous.

if 290x had a lot of tessellation power which it should had.. there would be no issue. So many games/benchmarks was out before 290x came out.
They can gauge the need for tessellation performance. Samething Nvidia Gauge giving up double precision in Maxwell had more benefit to single precision based on ppl who buy their cards. So they gave it up. You dont see titan X ppl bitching about double precision??

So Fury or whatever it is called better preform on Tessalation. If it does then ure talking about what 290x should have been.

So dx11 tesselation is a feature. Amd screwed up. Realism is created using that. They comprimised.

Think about it. Amd has to use extra 75 watts to compete with Nvidia. 25 percent more. With that.. The poor tesselation performance is not acceptable. You can see from heaven benchmark. Not acceptable.

Think alot of ppl dont know how good hwlabs nemesis rads are. Eks are crap. XSPC etc all mediocre. Hwlabs is the only rad company thats totally focused on pc cooling n all rads are made in their own factory. Everbody else is a oem from china with different housing.
