if that is true how did amd after few weeks come out with a driver that solves it.

dude its tessellation. Gameworks uses it heavily. So expect the same thing with DX12.1 Feature level that amd doesnt support.

its not being anti competitive. If amd had the horsepowah to run it. The gpu design was flawed favouring compute. It would have a day one drivers.

it wasnt about the horsepower, if horsepower is the case here u must agree that 960 is more powerful than 290x.
which also mean 960 has more power than 780, topkek tongue.gif

its a proprietary graphics technology. having more power is out of the question. what needed is for it to be open source.
thats why it wont be used to full effect by developers, just like physx.

no. Power is in terms for DX11 is tesselation. 960 no where close to a 780.

But look at this. 970 cannot beat a 780ti interms of Heaven 4.0 yet in real world it performs better in tessalation.
290x...
Nvidia Fault
Scaler Fault
No Money Fault
Consumer Fault
THe world Fault
and hence forth

so fury X. If it has good tessalation in Game performance. Atleast inherit some of tonga traits.. It will do well in Gameworks.

Remember Nvidia Tech is Based on DX Features
Its to push the GPU power instead of insane FPS gain. So if DX12 gives so much FPS. Pretty sure Nvidia is working to use that extra FPS for more realism.

Dude what i know is this. Ppl who sold their 290 n went to 980. Are pretty happy folks. They dont need to scan forums for fixes or memorize amd reason y that game performance sux for them. They just concentrate on gaming n buying games.

Argue as much as you want but thats the current fact. I have nvr seen that many amd rigs in competitive game events. All are scared of bsod or tdr or crash.

Thats pretty damn good. Fc4. Wonder whats the setting as txaa 4x @1440p hits over 5gb on ultra.

Nvidia already has frame rate target control for a long time with the introduction of boost states.

no, i dont know where got that.
tell me other games that has problem with the "tessa" u been talking about other than game that use nvidia proprietary tech?.

totally sick and tired of your "fault" point. that absolutely your pov.
what ive been talking about has been discuss all over the net, and the "fault" point has come over from only u.
even nvidia user are shit and tired of nvidia anti-comp move.

of course i cant do anything about something i have no right about in the 1st place.
talk to me when they make it open source and let dev share it. is it soo bad to do?. "of course it is...we dont want any competition" rolleyes.gif

Hmm u guys should read terry goodkind sword of truth.
Ure talking like what the old world ppl believe.

Hardworking ppl put their efforts into that tech. Nvidia consumers are the one paying for it.

U seem to totally believe everything amd says.

Fc4 looks good. Hope u saw the link.

Enough with gameworks guys, it's all AMD, Nvidia and developers fault.

Yeah FC4 4k benchmark looks good but i take it with a grain of salt because it's not from trusted reviewers.

I know you said enough with GameWorks, but ......that figure with or without GameWorks on? tongue.gif

And I guess the question of VRAM is answered: 4GB HBM only. Unless they figure out a way to compress texture or flush the texture data fast enough to compensate for that frame buffer size, expect the all-too-familiar-symtoms of running out of video RAM at 4K to happen. After all, this is targeted at 4K users right?

Hbm reduces tracelines of memory controllers n pcb thickness.
So not suprising on the length

Interesting part now is how the gpu die tdp is gonna affect that vram stack. Its got to be smoking.

Haha, just skeptical a little because they didn't show the numbers at E3 last night.

This FuryX is damn sexy wei. I really like the small form factor and the overall look of it. Let's hope it will deliver in real reviews coming next week. biggrin.gif

Take this with a grain of salt. For what we know, AMD may take the fps reading in far cry 4 village/town house (less stuff to render) instead of actual gameplay during shooting or hunting in the jungle. (Cherry picked result, AMD has track record of doing it)

Not to mention that they use FC4 which does not have built-in benchmark. Discrepancy against other posted benchmark article is a definite already unless they bench similar runs at similar scenes in the game. They should've used games like GTAV with its preset benchmark.

I don't think it's cherry picked result, more like cherry picked game.

Wonder who did the pump etc. normal suspect is asetek but nvr seen them do a colab with hwlabs. Two companies based different end of the world.

So.....the fact AMD uses fc4 as benchmark for 4k with results of 54 and 43........means other games will get less than 30fps? doh.gif

4K is too overhyped, I'd rather go for 144Hz 1440p than 4K.
