QUOTE(AxeFire @ Jan 5 2015, 11:19 PM) depending on what graphical settings youre looking fora single GPU can juice 4K gaming at ~30FPS on Med-High Graphics fine (depending on game, my GTX780 can run Shadow Of Mordor 20-30FPS on High at 4K downsampled) , but if youre looking for Ultra Settings, 8x MSAA (okay this one is overkill) etc etc, youll need at least triple GPUs as for monitor, cheapest 4K is Samsung atm, at RM2k tops. try this for decent 4K gaming rig i7 4790K RM1159 Swiftech H220-X RM549 MSI Z97 MPower RM779 4x4GB DDR3 HyperX Fury RM578 Crucial MX100 256GB RM399 WD Black 2TB RM459 Sapphire R9 290X 8GB x2 RM3398 Seasonic X-Series Platinum 860W RM799 Phanteks Enthoo Luxe RM499 Total : RM8619 without monitor for pure performance, swap the R9s to GTX980s, which is more expensive but performs better albeit at a small margin This post has been edited by marfccy: Jan 6 2015, 04:10 AM |

he want i7-4790k, 32GB RAM. PSU(may add graphic card later), motherboard(at least 1 port of HDMI), doesnt need dvd rom(use usb install later), low cost casing(may replace later), SSD(128gb) he do not need monitor, mouse, keyboard and speaker as this can use old one. Goal: save buying cost as much as possible and power effective with not lose of any performance. so far only have this requirement, may add some later. ty ty |

Hi, Just to be sure of Asus > Pegatron > Asrock
eidairaman1 said: ↑ As of last year AsRock is a separate company not owned by Asus. Asus holds a small stock percentage but that doesnt mean they are owned by them. Sources? Sasqui said: ↑ Wow, this is a long thread... as BT stated, ASRock is owned by Pagatron: Look here: http://www.pegatroncorp.com/company/businessOperation.php What dealings Pagatron has with ASUS, I do not know. Disclaimer: I'm an ASUS fan. We have proved already that AsusTek owns Pegatron and Pegatron owns ASrock by what margins it is not clear, but, they have a lot of power that most of the board of directors are the same between the companies. AND ONE MORE THING Pegatron make a lot of stuff belong to HP, Apple etc. This post has been edited by simonyee: Jan 6 2015, 10:26 AM |

[Budget]3k
[Purpose] mostly for games [Hardwares that will be re-use] monitor, mouse, keyboard. [Games & softwares that use frequently] Titanfall, Fifa, photoshop, and incoming Evolve. mostly FPS games. [Personal preferences] i prefer to have SSD to install the OS, and 1TB HDD for the other stuffs. dont mind to use i5 if cant fit i7 into the budget. prefer 8gb ram. should i get the win8 or win7 as the OS? that doesnt have to be in the budget though. RM2k-ish. Should i go for a cheaper Mobo & CPU? As for the GPU would most probably be that and not AMD. A 1080p monitor to finish it off. This rig would be my daily surf web , movie & gaming. |

Hi all, I am new here.
Would need your comment on the following rig that I plan to build before CNY Proc : i5 4690K Mobo : Ram : 8GB Hard Disk : WD Blue 1TB hard disk PSU : Seasonic M12 II Evo 520W Graphic Card : Gainward Phantom GTX970 Monitor : Will reuse Casing, DVD Drive, Keyboard & Mouse. I cannot decide which mobo is the best (less than RM 400) and monitor (preferably 23", not too glossy screen & less than RM 600) For gaming (not too hardcore) Please comment on my build. Thank you.
