Nope. Asrock Z97 Anniversary at RM399 should be good enough.

As for the monitor, try looking for Dell E2414H at RM569.

Thank you TristanX. biggrin.gif

Does it matter if Dell E2414H does not HDMI connectivity?

Are you referring to this Asrock Z97 Anniversary?

The review does not seem to be good. sad.gif

Nope. DVI is fine at 1080p.

Yeah, the rest of the Z97 motherboards are RM430+. Gigabyte Z97X-SLI is at RM469.

Heh, Leadtek promo still on for Idealtech. Don't need to think, go for it.

As for the RAM, go for Gskill Aegis 8GB x1. It is RM249. Photoshop CC is RAM hungry, you might need that free slot for another 8GB in the future.

Corsair VS 550W is better than FSP Hexa+ 550W. If you can raise another RM100, Seasonic M12 II Evo 520W is even better.

Is Leadtek GTX970 better than Gainward Hurricane (if does not take the promo into consideration)?

Gainward is better due to higher overclock but it is a bigger card. Leadtek can even fit Coolermaster Elite 110 case.

Hi guys,
Year ago i came here to ask for recommendation and now i came again.
For the last build, it is for a gaming purpose and now i need a recommendation for rendering(Lumion) rig for my sister.

I had another computer which i think is old enough.
Do guys think that i can upgrade the computer to support the software.?

- Core 2 Quad CPU
- LGA775 socket motherboard.
- 4GB of DDR2 RAM
- GPU ( i dont remember,sorry)

If not, proceed with new build.

[Budget]
RM 2k if possible.

[Purpose]
Surfing websites, rendering image.

[Hardwares that will be re-use]
Monitor.

[Games & softwares that use frequently]
Lumion, Photoshop.

[Personal preferences]
Small form factor.

Thanks in advance ! icon_rolleyes.gif

Alienware X51:
http://www.dell.com/my/p/alienware-x51-r2/pd

That is tough to build unless you can find someone selling Silverstone ML07 and RVZ01 case
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=503

RVZ01:
http://www.silverstonetek.com/raven/produc...l=RVZ01&area=en

You can find people selling Silverstone SG05 Lite though
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=413&area=en

Any desktop GPU that is GTX750 or R7 260X already blows GTX745 away.

Looks like Lumion needs graphic card updates.
http://lumion3d.com/products/

You can try changing it to Leadtek GTX970 4GB DDR5 at RM1299 plus Seasonic M12 II Evo 520W power supply at RM279 and see how it goes.

That is the first step of ITX since Leadtek is only 8.11" long. Next phase, change to these

Xeon E3-1231 V3 - RM829
Asrock H97M-ITX/ac motherboard - RM349
Kingston 8GB DDR3-1600 x1 - RM249
Coolermaster Elite 110 case - RM139

Hi, currently in my mind as below:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k 4GHz RM1159
MOBO: Asrock Z97 Extreme4 RM579 or Z97X Fatal!ty KILLER RM599 or Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 motherboard - RM559?
SSD: Intel 530 240GB SSD - RM 479
HDD: WD Blue (WD10EZEX) - RM 189
RAM: Kingston Value RAM 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RM244
ODD: REUSE PIONEER DWD-RW
CHASIS: ??
PSU: Seasonic X-650 RM529 / Seasonic M12 II Evo 620W power supply - RM359
LCD: REUSE DELL U2312HM
COOLER: Coolermaster Hyper 212X - RM149
GPU: GTX970

a) Which motherboard is preferrable? Why?
b) Do i need to get those like GSkill Ram or other?
c) Do i need the Seasonic X-650 instead of Seasonic M12 II Evo 620W?
d) Is Coolermaster Hyper 212X silent enough and support if i overclock?
e) Can recommend me a chasis? Prefer to be solid and silent.
f) Do i need fans for extra cooling? If yes, what to add, as mentioned, prefer to be silent.
