Can anyone remind me again what's so great about hsbc card- the amanah platinum in particular? It's becoming a pain for me to remember paying them, so I'm thinking of cancelling this. I've got uob ones whose cash back seems better if not equivalent. So I'm thinking maybe I should be faithful to uob..

I think they lost many customers past few years......because of lack of card benefits (cash back, airmiles etc.), poor customer service......even hotline cannot access easily......

Their slogan
The World Local Bank.......becomes The "Worst" Local Bank biggrin.gif

cash back is instant cash (depends on %) while reward points need to collect and then redeem (depends on catalogue). different people will have different preference. The effective return for cash back is generally higher than reward points.

Maybe because of this:
Advance ticket purchases are eligible for this promotion if the purchase is made on every Saturday or Sunday only

The terms are quite confusing, so maybe others can shed some light
