Prior to my case on AF charged, i requested to cancel my card. Subsequent to that, CS called back to waived and instead offer me several good deals.

0% Balance transfer up to RM7000 for 3 months; Or
RM200 spending for RM50 guarantee CB.

Do not ask me info on the RM50 CB as i didn't enquire more, opted for the BT.
Fingers crossed just submitted my application on BT, will get a reply soon, and shall update u all

after go through the 2016 HSBC Amanah MPower Credit Card-i cash back TnC,
does it means;
spend on petrol and groceries at participate merchants will get
2% if < RM2k
8% if > RM2k
this programme until end of Dec 2016.

the additional 5% cash back is subsequent 6mth after sign up.
correct me if i get the thing wrong...

do we need to sign up by our own or both cashback are automatic eligible?

I signed up for a HSBC Visa Signature at Mid Valley Mall. I received a HSBC Platinum in the mail. Is this legal, to give me a different product from what I applied for? If I were to not activate the card, would it be automatically cancelled after the 3 month period? Or do I need to call them?

Is your annual income fulfill the application requirement? If yes, why not make them a call to verify.
If you really want to cancel the card, suggest to walk in to branch or call CS.

Usually the AF of my HSBC Amanah platinum cc was auto-waiver. This year they suddenly charge AF on my card. Called in to request for waiver, the CS never ask a single question, straight away say no problem. And I received a SMS for waiver of my AF within 3 days.

Currently holding gold MPower card and tried to apply from Ringgitplus to upgrade and also get the robo vacumm. The HSBC staff who called me confirmed all gold holders will automatically get upgraded to the new platinum version soon. Decided not to proceed since HSBC doesn't have any other cashback cards. Forgot to ask about the 5% extra cashback promo but since the T&C mentions new cardholders I think the answer would be no for those who are being upgraded.
