Here's a few groups that regularly conducts ukulele events.
http://www.malaysiaukulelegroup.com/
http://ukulelemalaya.my/ I bought my kala from here btw.

I met up with these people a couple of times and they're a diverse, cheerful and friendly group.

was actually looking for a Kala as well initially, the Solid Acacia tenor .... i know Singapore Ukulele Movement has it but the last round i went Singapore on a Monday they are closed. So end up i got myself a Oscar Schmidt OU5 from Davis guitar .... must admit the OU5 sound pretty sweet to me.

I'm actually looking around for a new tenor as well, solid Acacia if possible. Could you share how much did you invest on the Oscar Schmidt?

Just wondering, did you meant this Guitar Davis?

Hye everyone. Im looking for a samick brand model uk70 ukulele. Does anyome know where to find in Kl? I like the wood on the model as it has a rosewood back and side and a spruce top (similar to my classical guitar). But still i have to test it to see how it sounds like.

So where can i find it in kl? And how much does it cost?

Thank!

Yup, that's the shop i got my Oscar Schmidt,.... they have quite many selection. I got my OU5 for S$250.

The tenor i was interested to get my hands on was the Kala ASAC-T .... Over here in KL not sure where to find. Wanted to test it out before committing as the only thing I worry is the thickness of the neck as I like it to be slightly thicker. Feel more comfort for my palm. Maybe due to my wrong technique of holding some chords accumulated from past experiences. Oscar Schmidt tends to have slightly thicker necks. I tried some of the tenors and they felt quite comfortable.

Try DoReMi, Mutiara Damansara. They carry Sammick. I bought one from them.
The TS of this is one of the workers/owners there. She's really friendly and helpful

Where does it ship from and how much is shipping? I remember I wanted to try a uke from Vietnam but the shipping is insane. RM500+ for 2 ukes.

it's about $110+$18 shipping only from USA.. so less than RM400 for a Lanikai tenor..

I find that the less you spend on a uke, the better they sound.
