N there is a new brand from msia, L.Luthier, the solid top spruce sound quite nice too.

i'm more tending towards 15CM.. coz it has more and better reviews out there tongue.gif but that said it's just my opinion.. it's best if u can go there and try both out.. try before buy!

Well most of the guitar store has it, and it comes relatively cheap (as long as you don't go for those high-end). =) I had mine from TGS Cheras. and then my sis bought one even from Groupon. LOL is fun to play with and very kinky.. i just love it tongue.gif

Guys, a question.
I got myself a uke and been practicing. Then i tried another uke at a beach resort and it sounded so much nicer. Deeper and prominent. Sound is distinctive between the chords. I notice the strings are more rubbery on the one i tried. Mines are just nylon. Hard and taut. Both are sopranos.
Is this really due to the string differences?

I googled and seems like the one i tried is using florocarbon strings

different strings effects playability ie smoothness when changing chords etc..but tone wise maybe its the wood type of the ukulele you played. perhaps its mahogany thats why you get the deep warm sound as compared to koa
