u might wanna give guitar shops a call - there are like 2 shops i came across that sells, but they go along the brands u mentioned - haven't seen other than that.

as for your question, i did bought and learned to play ukulele.....though now that i've quite forgotten the chords since i've not touched them ever since, like 2 years plus now.....

i found a ukulele for blacktrix !! can't display the image here though.. type ukulele in google, should be at the end of the first page..

anyway, in tahiti, they sell a lot of ukuleles (real ones).. mailing cost might increase the price, but if someone is interested into buying a typical ukulele, I can check it out.
but beware, the tahitian ukulele is unique... better looking than the guitar-shaped ukulele.

blacktrix:
No, the chord is sightly differents.
But if you know how guitars chord work, it the same.
Capo your guitar 5 fret, you shall figure it out yourself.
I got Mandolin at home too, but i don't like it.
My dad use to play it.

Everdying:
That what people say when they saw ukulele (small version of GUITARS)
But it nothing close to the guitars.
Yes, you can tune GCEA on the guitars strings. (Bottom 4 strings)
But it sound differents. Ukelele have a sighty thicker third strings.
(To add some bass sound to it)

led_zep_freak:
Regular that ok ok want selling in Malaysia...Cost only RM50++
or abit better want...RM120++ (Mahalo form Woh Fatt is the best bargain
for beginner) Alot of website give thumb up for this cheap uke for beginner.
Mahalo is made in china.

Pix:
I started this post coz i wanna know anyone of you have
ukulele that buying from malaysia shop.
Buy online, but the shipping charges is too damn expensive.
I think it not worth buying online...Unless, you are CRAZY...CRAZY about it.
I have google hell alot for this last 5 years. I still think it abit overprice...
If you have money to buy a good ukulele...Get a Koa solid wood uke that
made from Hawaii or Mahagony solid wood.
Or the famous "Martin"....but hard to find and can sell as high as RM2000+++
There are hell alot of brand out there, some made fine Uke and some bad.

You can check out one of many online Uke seller here:

oh oh... ukuleles are not cheap. It is about 250 euros, so it is about 1000 RM. You'd better be a serious player to want to buy one of those ! Serious... or loaded.

Damn, but I guess they're of good quality. It's a pity because the pics you posted are great. thumbup.gif

Anyway, for the ukulele players here, who do you listen to??? The only ukulele source I get from is George Harrison. thumbup.gif
