But the returns is quite high and consistent. Not a bad idea for holding a longer period.

1 to 1 ratio for the FD and ASNB UT. Minimum 10K each, rhb will give 2% rebate for the originally 5% sales charge. But dont forget the max 1.5% annual management fee. Dont know I should go for this or the current FD promo.

Cannot go for it just because of the FD promo. Has to be wanted to invest in ASNB then go for it to get the FD promo as well. biggrin.gif

If you go for the FD/ASNB bundle, the sales charge is still 5% plus GST. Not 2% rebate. I paid 5% with GST for the FD/ASNB bundle in April. biggrin.gif

The sales charge is 5% plus GST. But I was offered 2% rebate where they will give me back 2% after the purchase.

This small fry went to the BR function. Swarmed by rich uncle & aunties. About 10 tables. Only customers of the BR branch that the small fry is using.  tongue.gif More than 90% Chinese as it is in Penang town area. Door gift is bath towel.

HQ one VP was there. Asked him why no more banker's cheque issued and told him customers running away due to this reason. During Q & A, the VP said now the BM decided that he will issue banker's cheque. Surprise, surprise ! It was posted that BR will stop issuing cheque starting Jan 2014 (or 2013 ?), they posted a notice on their board at that time.  hmm.gif

Then someone asked about no PIDM. The VP answered that it was guaranteed by the government on the principal amount. Then someone asked how about the amt. The reply is irrespective of the amt !! Wow !

Food wise, reasonable not bad. Received lucky draw prize, first time from BR.  rclxms.gif

But did you also place FD and get 7 or 7.8% rate ? I think the RHB promo is either or only. That is what I was trying to say earlier. biggrin.gif

just walk to a MACH branch, open a MACH account.. need around 10 minutes or lesser.. then use internet banking (hong leong connect), transfer fund from saving to MACH money box account.. and use money box to place FD..

biggrin.gif

Open account no need $$$, and u won't have another debit card either..

If a deal is so complicated, it's probably there to confuse/disappoint you with much hidden fine prints later. I tend to stay away.

Sorry, misinterpreted you. Did not place the FD as the ASNB is closed during weekend plus want to do some research on the ASG before buying. From what I was explained, seen like I am getting both. Anyway, decided to just go for the normal FD promo biggrin.gif
