WK support is bad in pug or ranked, its like playing trust fall with your carry, but its not bad to learn how to utilize farm as a support since he got mid game carry potential. Also for WK to support is very expensive, smoke, boot, dagger. Its hardly to success without trilane or follow up. But still, im have been playing support WK for some time, quite fun actually XD.
*
correction: semi support, normally just buy arcane boot and share ward buying with other support haha, but i make sure i go for this role, got other hard carry/ tanker as well like CK or Abbadon this 2 especially go trilane / hard/safe lane hehe.

so we all the way no need worry mana and just spam stun on 1 hero hehehehehe. brows.gif

==================

also need to mention BS support hehe.

i was support WR and SK that time lol, but i stay behind cast spell lol... see SK cast ult i straight cast damage spell on him XDDD

so they can go faster to get core initiate item like blink dagger on SK, WR get maybe orchid or damage item hahaha laugh.gif

Hmm after a few try of support WK, i would suggest you try this early build: Get power tread and soul ring, basically ur mana is infinite ady, (learn how to switch boot be4 u use soul ring), unless u need mana boot for team who spam skill a lot then diff story la, else its waste to get mana boot, too much uneccesary mana.

*I tried tranquil boot with soul ring build, not so bad, easy spamable also lol*

Dagger is a must for support WK to gank effectively, then drum for team, lastly heaven halberd to counter carry, or even bkb to man fight in the battle for some dmg.

yea i either go for soul ring or arcana boot (because need mana pool for revive in case of silencer or other mana burn hero)

i normally lazy to switch boot in war lol, STR boot most of the time haha. only when no in war might switch to int to regen faster (a bit), tranquil boot sucks because i attack a lot basically you waste money for nothing, unless i use spam spell type hero then okay because can benefit from the HP regen, or else everytime i last hit creep i need to wait 5-13 sec for nothing.

This is why i always defended my teammates when they get blamed. This is why you always respect your teammates. I would defend a feeder against flamers as long as its not intentional feeding.

http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1176212790

20 mins into the game, we were 20k gold down, all t1 and t2 towers were down, and our rax were being sieged. Our team blamed enigma from the beginning, but i took enigma's side. Defended him against these blaming fckers. In the end we won because enigma carried us all.

If you guys watch my game and see me telling my opponent to end the game, it's because i couldn't stop the infighting among my teammates. Why bother trying. Most of the time i lost solo rmm game not because we were outplayed, but because my teammates can't stop yelling at each other.

Very subjective and every single team fight will be different... Mostly I will target healers such as dazzle, omni, necro in fights... Sometimes I target those glass cannon carries like sniper / drow.. depending which hero make or breaks the fight..

Never ever target tankers in fights unless you can burst them down fast enough like axe, tide, bb...

But still it depends on the situation...

Hmm, so I'm not actually far from the truth. Ok, will improvise my objective after this. Thanks!

Its just a joke. Some people take it well, others not so especially the losing end. I just said that when the enemy blamed one of their mates for their loss. So I told them to just uninstal dota if they can't take the stress. They'll wake up happier the next day. laugh.gif

funnyTONE If you really want to learn positioning, play CM. Low move speed, squishy as a ripe banana - perfect for teaching you where to stand.

This is the last game I played as CM, the replay should still be available:

Hmm, I always have the impression that an experienced player should play as support because it requires a lot of map awareness, knowing where to ward, who to heal and when to strike. Normally for newbies, I think its better to let them play a straightforward right click hero.
Anyway, I'll try your advice sometime this weekend. I'm not actually a fan of full support or even a carry. I normally enjoy a semi-carry role or semi-support.
Example whenever I play as Juggernaut, I'm always aware of using my healing wards to support my mates once my omni and blade fury are used. Just take a few steps back and micro manage my wards to wounded heroes. I almost never see any other Jugger play like this. Most times the wards are for themselves.
Playing as Tiny, despite being the expected tanker role, I usually prefer to stay 1 step behind and use my stun and toss as secondary followups to the initiator's stun or nuke. The problem for me is its very difficult to retreat as Tiny because I'm an easy big target. There were the occasional odd built where I used Shadow Blade as my escape item. But more often than not, I end up dying first with Tiny despite having an overall high kill rate by the end of the game.

v1n0d just watched your replay of CM. Totally impressed with your mad skills. I personally love to learn more about warding. I'm curious though, at the start of the game why did you plant an observer in front of the fountain?

You mean purchased?
Do you mean that at start of the game some one buys one ward and drop on the floor then buy another so that you can place at two rune spots by two heroes?

Also, since the new update, a lot of first kills are happening near the rune. I learned something new from that replay. Nice spot by pudge mang. notworthy.gif Just too bad it didn't connect.

Quick question:

1- watching replays only lets me see the global chat. Is it possible to read the party's chat instead?

2- I'm assuming you guys are playing MMR using mic to communicate. Or does pinging be sufficient?

I didn't. In that game, the other support (VS) was a new player who was using his friend's account. He had no idea how to transfer wards, and he tried passing them without using CTRL+click. doh.gif

Most people CTRL+click to share wards/tangos, but sometimes you can just pass the entire ward bundle to your offlaner if you're confident that you don't need to ward the portion of the map closer to the safelane.

That Pudge was good, but a little careless later on. There were quite a few times where he got cocky and overextended. Losing a godlike streak awards the opponent who killed you with about 1k gold, which is HUGE.

I don't think you can read the party chat, even if you're on Dotabuff Plus.

I alternate between the mic/typing/using the chat wheel. Pinging is useful but be careful where you ping. When I want to alert an ally to a rotation, I use the warning ping and signal the direction the rotation is coming from. I also have hotkeys mapped to type the following lines:
1. top rune
2. bottom rune
3. top missing
4. mid missing
5. mid missing

Most of these commands are now obsolete because the chat wheel has been improved, but I've kept them as I'm too used to them already.
