My first few rounds with CM.



Quite fun to be honest. Though its a bit annoying when allied heroes keep bugging you to wards. I barely have any items on me except Tranquil Boots, Aghanim Scepter, Drum and Blink dagger. Constant wards, wards, wards.

But it does allow me to position myself a bit better during team fights. I still couldn't perform a proper ulti with CM though. Most of the time I get killed before the ulti ends.

Anyone tried Morphling support?

I read it on reddit and tried it out recently. Quite fun to play Morphling as support. 4.25 seconds stun with 900 cast range and 10 seconds cooldown. However, your only damage output is wave

Im 2.4k mmr though...

boot,agh, drum and blink.. chill, consider urself very lucky to get those items when playing cm.. xD

I did that once.. You need to make sure your team have enough damage to make use of your stun and you also need early level.

Hoho, not sure how I feel about this, but I suppose I'm doing it right then.
my teammates did tell me to get shadow blade during mid-game seeing how I often get targeted often by the enemy.
I told them "you want wards or shadow blade?"
"Ward"

Earlier when I started playing DotA about a month ago, I never really bothered with wards since us newbies don't realize its importance. plus the opposing side doesn't either. But now I do feel ward wars are more common as I go higher level, especially when partying with high level teammates.

there is a certain satisfaction knowing a well-placed ward can contribute to a successful gank, prevent enemy gank, destroying enemy's ward, detecting techies bombs and revealing invi heroes.

i was fed up in yesterday match, i recently encounter NP do nothing but farm only.

Care to justify?
Would BkB allow ur ulti to be uninterrupted?
NP feed you? How you do it? Can CM solo vs NP?

yea...with bkb u can ulti freely lol....
but cm is still soft so its better to have teammate keep some of them busy then u go in ulti with bkb on

I like that combo though... frostbite, first skill, hit, then ulti.

That 4.25s is a beast.
Blame ur teammate for not actually capitalizing on it.
You can try blink dagger on a support morphling too. Blink behind enemy hero, push the opp hero towards your teammates, then wave away if opponent tries to gangbang you.

If your team cannot bring down an isolated 4.25s hero, they should really reflect on themselves d.

This guy climbed to 5k by playing exclusively on the offlane.

BKB grants you spell immunity which means CM's ulti that is channeling in nature will not be interrupted by certain spells. Keep in mind that certain spell can still go through BKB (Enigma's blackhole, Magnus' RP, Pudge's dismember, Bane's grip, Lich's chain frost, etc alot more.) If you happen to play against a Silencer, you have to be patient before using your BKB charge. Either you use BKB too early and get silenced while in BKB state or you wait till global silence is used then you can BKB to break the silence.

As for NP, you can easily solo him once you get a Dagger. Just wait for him to rat and make sure he's alone in that lane. Blink in don't immediately use frostbite. Just casual nova and hit until when he is in mid TP animation that's when you frostbite and ulti.

I personally don't like CM as a hero that much lol. Too slow, too squishy and can't be in the front line initiating..

Thanks to the loud Silencer, I can roughly estimate their ward positions lol. Gank mid early and went on farming for early blink. Made opponents to be scared and stick as five always.. That opens up the map for our cores to farm.

i think if you can get agh and blink is considered quite luxury on cm edi. Either it means you were given the space to farm or your team is leading ahead by that much or it dragged till quite late game.

I saw one cm and dazzle combo quite nice.

Cm got caught out,around 1v3 or 1v4 but she have bkb. She on bkb and ulti while the rest of us straight tp in or move in for the team fight. Once our dazzle tp in, he clutch grave the cm. With bkb, the enemy can't stun, with shallow grave, the enemy core can't kill her and ended up with multi kill there and won the team fight.

Btw, anyone wana play with me? Would appreciate it if people can give me some advise on which part to improve. Calibrated my party mmr at 3.2k. Since then, never won a match in mmr, dropped to 3091 mmr. :/

Come to think of it, I suppose you're right. But it was quite late in the game that I got the scepter and blink. I think it was past 40 minutes.
