Can attest to that,
After spending 1/2 day yesterday at local SC they told me, brake still got helicopter sound (less now but still there) and my rain sensor not working and might need to change windscreen.

They ask me to refer to COE shah ALAM. Earliest appointment is 7 Jan and recommended me to contact glenmarie instead. Glenmarie give me 30th Jan appointment. So from 1day leave Friday now I have to take another one on Tuesday.

I've said before that the gear lever of the Preve Turbo feels cheap and plasticky like a toy car. Just earlier this week the whole plastic piece came off. Gave me a shock when the piece just came off when I am shifting from R to D.

The gear knob does not only feel cheap but the fact that the plastic piece can come off from the gear knob just goes on to show how poor the quality of the gear knob is.

This is the current setup I am on although the piece is still loose. Need to find some time to make an appointment with COSE, although I am planning to have it looked at together with the 30,000km service.

By the way, does the new Preve 2014 come with an upgraded gear knob/lever that is of higher quality? I have not driven many cars before but the gear knob on this Preve is one of the worst that I have experienced in both feel and when shifting around the gears. Even the gear knob on the Perodua Myvi feels more premium and high quality than the gear knob on the Preve in both feel and shifting around the gears.

Guys
Just wanna ask
Why when im braking
I can hear "kruk kruk" sound
A smell of braking/burn rubber afterward like "when a racing driver brakes alot scenario"
I havent drive so fast or anything
The car only been 1 week
And hardly driven yet
Plus is the preve Turno model
Is it normal?

Does anyone actually have the manual version of preve and how does it compare to persona apart from the much more superior safety features of preve. If one wanna vroom in is it offering performance or i need to go to get satria neo to get that thrill? Does, the new engine eliminated the torque dip in the campro cps?

if braking and have that kruk kruk sound, please send it back to SC. some forumers managed to get replacement for their brake disc and some said now new policy cannot replace, only can skim

It is Preve the low quality one. I've never heard Suprima gear knob giving problems. Some members bought Suprima gear knob at Proton Parts Glenmarie, and installed it in their Preve.

Hello Preveians, I've been silently reading all the prevoc threads for about a week now. I have booked and applied loan for a black preve cfe. Was given 8k discount from proton and additional 550 discount + fuel from the SA. (I think it's a good deal).
Anyways I've read about some of the common problems a new preve can have and I think I am ready to face it. Hopefully the service centre here is good. I am currently in Kuching, Sarawak but will be going to miri to work with some occasional driving up and down (it's about 800km with a highway thats not really a highway. I was studying in kl for past 4 years so I know how bad the highway here is compared to there)

Anyways i really want to know about the reverse camera issue. Can anyone confirm that a plug and play reverse camera does not void the wiring warranty? And also if anyone from kuching or miri have knows where i can install one as such?

P/s i cannot access the prevoc fb group and also the trade page. sad.gif

Pp/s I have read the 1st page tips. any other tips on what i should do once i get the new car is most welcomed
