QUOTE(kennywee92 @ Feb 27 2015, 11:42 PM) Brake time hit clutch will help in braking ke? No engine braking if hit clutch right? lel, maybe I didn't phrase it correctly.. if high speed, and high gear, i would normally apply clutch coz im ready to down shift so that the engine braking takes over. if low speed then had to brake without clutch if not the engine will stall. but sometimes, i would brake with without clutch coz at certain rpm it would make the whole car jerk.. if hard braking, just hit the brakes until it slows down and apply clutch if necessar(change gear or to keep the engine from stalling)Change to 17" rims improve braking? Placebo sampaiiiiii before i change to 17, my tyre would lock up easily(original kruiser, dunlop and falken) under braking. maybe because the spongy brake had to tap and tap harder to stop, then it would always locked. then i changed to 17 inch second hand bridgeston and now Achilles atr sport 2 all rounder, all very rare to lock up. in fact my braking is improved. now with new rotor too..it's quite hard to lock it up. not to mention, without engine braking, it will easily lock your tyre and make your car unstable during braking..lel

I don't have problem with stock brake pad and stock disc rotor with perakbatu kruizer tire also. Because slow driver |

Hi persona expert,
I've just collect my Persona SV this afternoon. 1st thing I notice the car will vibrate when braking at >40km/h and will take time to slow down. May I know what's causing this and how to fix? |

Hi guys,
I just changed all the engine mountings. Car very low vibration now, very nice feeling. But when accelerating from standstill will suddenly have shuddering noise n vibration, then after that will be ok again when keep going. Mechanic could not detect the problem n said could be there are some stress points causing it. Need to send back the car to them for further ttroubleshooting. Anyone experienced this after changing the mounts? |

QUOTE(ex24dec02 @ Feb 28 2015, 11:07 PM) Hi persona expert, Hello there. Your Persona probably has uneven brake rotors, and you should ask for replacements. As for the long braking time, it seems to be normal for the Persona as the brakes aren't really known for being good (or at least the SV, B and M-line version).I've just collect my Persona SV this afternoon. 1st thing I notice the car will vibrate when braking at >40km/h and will take time to slow down. QUOTE(CarroTT @ Mar 1 2015, 08:30 PM) No idea... I stopped my car by the side to check last time, but I couldn't determine what. It seems like the left wheel is slipping or something is slipping. It'll go away soon though. |

Already went to SC today but they can't entertain due to Sunday slot already reserved for scheduled services Is it dangerous to be driving with uneven brake rotor especially in rain condition? And is this problem common for Persona? |

I don't really hear people complaining about uneven brake rotors on their newly bought Personas, or haven't noticed. It isn't dangerous as long as the rotors aren't out of shape enough to steer the car for you. Is it dangerous to be driving with uneven brake rotor especially in rain condition? Dear Pro,
Recently i mentioned i change my engine oil to 10w30 from 10w40. Sat morning travel to Melaka and temperature slighly increase a bit. Then yest come back at afternoon and temperature increase morw than 90 degress and almost redline and i close the air cond. Just now i start my car and monitor the engine, found out radiator fan did not spin. When only the radiator fan kick in and spin? Air cond fan is spinning once i open the aircond. Or is it the engine oil too thin? I phobia going highway now |
