I need clarification regarding service interval for persona sv manual.
what is 1st,2nd and 3rd service interval?
and i got a voucher total of rm950. 3x rm95 and 5 x rm 165. is this voucher include labour or labour is free and voucher for part only?can i use more than 1 voucher?
*
RM95 use for the 1st 3 times service (first 3 times labour fee is free)
RM165 use for the following 5 service

only use 1 voucher for each service

Thanks iskazulka raimy_m9 and everyone's input about the brakes.
If change to double layer servo will bite too hard,
what we will worry is the car from behind instead tongue.gif

hello all.

my wife elegance suddenly having problem with "check engine" light. It happened yesterday while going downhill bukit tinggi. we went to genting on 1st march, check in, and 2nd march check in at bukit tinggi.

so far nothing wrong with the car. petrol consumption is ok, no sudden engine died in the middle of the road. I drove from bukit tinggi back home in ipoh yesterday without any drama. i tried to reset the battery n ECU, still the same.

today my wife send to SC somewhere in ipoh. the mechanic check the ECU and found that it is giving unrecognized error code. they recommends to replace the ECU. my wife car elegance 2010

i wonder that the downhill caused the damage to the ECU box cry.gif

downhill wont cause damage to ECU box...but the reply from SC is unacceptable. there is no such thing as unrecognized error code. i think better u take to another SC to check out.

i'm thinking the same too, seems like the reply is a bit cincai. so the easiest is to replace. They quote rm800 for the ecu including labor.

during our getaway between genting and bukit tinggi, we had plenty of uphill and downhill few times. As i dont want to rely too much on the brakes, i always use engine braking (auto gear btw) shift to 3, and stays on 2 most of the time. if the downhill got too steep, then i brake harder and changed to L. Of course from 2 to L, i made sure that the engine speed was adequate before changing to L.

at the mean time, dun proceed to change ECU first since u mentioned that it still can be driven, just go to the other SC and check for the error code, if possible after checked, please erase the error and continue driving. only if the same error code keeps coming back, then need to check failure parts, changing ECU wont solve the issue. if ECU problem, i guess u cannot drive your car already.

roger that, now trying to go to other SC for second opinion. If the second SC also said the same thing, then no choice lor.

what i scared the most if change the ECU, then things get worse than before like car stranded etc. If i were driving, then i can manage something during emergency. But since my wife drive it all the time to work, a bit worry if she is alone somewhere.

One of the saga member's car threw up an error code because he frequently manually change gear on his auto gearbox. It didn't affect the car's performance, and the error code is identifiable via OBD scanner.

If you can join our TT with your Persona, we can attempt to read the error code on your car. But we can only read the error code not fix it.

at least our obd scanner can also read the error code. the SC just concluded that they are not sure with wad the error code is and just ask him to change ECU... rclxub.gif
most importantly is, can help him erase the error code rite? brows.gif

unfortunately i'm from ipoh, too far tongue.gif

today my wife sent to a different SC. to our surprise, this SC said from their computer, the ECU code is showing the O2 sensor faulty. So now proceed to change the O2 sensor since it is way cheaper. and yes, the warning light finally gone. Thanks for your advice guys, especially to double check with a different SC notworthy.gif

the proton SC from yesterday really cincai vmad.gif vmad.gif

ok..O2 sensor faulty code shud be straightforward. i guess u can avoid the previous SC that asked u to change ECU sweat.gif
anyway, glad to know that your problem is solved...o2 sensor just change once it is faulty, which is normal. icon_rolleyes.gif

Guys ,

I have a minor issue on my Persona Elegence that have bugging me for some time.

Two of my doors are having difficulty to close because of the cheap plastic that they used to cover the car door 'handler' ( not sure what to call , refer picture) were spoiled.

May I know if you guys also facing the same problem and any idea / solution to fix it? Already asked few accessories shop and they do not sell it . Thinking of to use black sellotape to wrap it but not sure if it was a great idea.

Thank you. smile.gif
