old set. must check the remote control. see if power cord included.

last time i buy a used pm7001 at 900rm.
pm7200 about same age but higher grade so u can estimate.

cd5001 kira entry level. new model 1500rm. not sure u want this as we are moving to digital media /streaming age now.

CD player over long run, need to replace laser head as power weaken, motorized part can spoilt.

The new solution is using streamer like Marantz NA6005 or NA8005 thumbup.gif

That day chat with a HiFi guy, he is using NA8005, according to him seem some firmware problem after upgrade, and warranty does not cover that, he feel very upset about it, coz it's very expensive like 10K puke.gif

Mine no issue. I think firmware upgrade completed without issue after I use the DMZ.

However, after firmware upgrade, I still fail to get similar sound character as NA-11S1, which I like very much. cry.gif

my spare spks enough to create another set of 5.1
all this bx1 + bx2 + dual 5" center channel in store room. even acoustic energy sealed subwoofer from my old setup.

reality is surrround system require another tv and room space which i dont have now sad.gif so i will test additional surround spk to current 5.1 as u suggested.

now play mini system cukup stop the itchy hand.

If your BX1 or BX2 are taking too much space, always feel free to throw them to me.

My daughter room no sound system yet. And I got a spare PM6005 now~

Yes. I know BX2 is good. I actually have both RX2 and RX6 for separate systems. Both are great. thumbup.gif

yes is correct, been play around with sample rate from foobar(bit perfect) before  icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi guys, I realized that my NA8005 show sampling rate from each of its digital sources. The text was small thus I never realized until now. And it confirmed that my HiMedia Q10 Pro output CD ripped 44.1kHz wave file at 48kHz. Yes, it is a disappointment.

Is the 44.1khz to 48khz resampling destructive? Is it obvious? The Hi-Media -> NA8005 -> PM8005 just took me more than 30 seconds (do not even need audiophile CD) to realize something was wrong as freq response and details was not right. And I was merely using contents from CD that I just bought. IMO, to audiophile purist, it is that obvious.

Thus I can conclude that HiMedia and possibly most if not all Media player is not Hi-Fi friendly. Do pay attention to it if you plan to use media player as source for music.

And for demanding HiFi purist, you should use music streamer such as NA8005 or NA-11S1 (I love it) or the old fashion CD-player as source.

Anyway, maybe it is just me that has demanding ears (actually suffering due to it). For not demanding listeners, life is much easier and it might be okay, especially using entry level system.
