Wah... That's my dream amp... thumbup.gif thumbsup.gif notworthy.gif

For any unknown reason that you not happy with the amp and want to downgrade to the PM6005 with built-in DAC, just PM me and I am willing to exchange anytime. icon_rolleyes.gif

Btw, how much you paid for this beast? biggrin.gif

Can any av receiver accept usb input for streaming flac ?

Also can connect nas via rj45 for music streaming flac, wav?
*
Not sure about AVR as my version are old one without LAN support.

My NA8005 support the music streaming with flying color. Surprisingly, I felt the sound even better than many dedicated CD-player.

QUOTE(ccschua @ Mar 13 2016, 09:36 PM)
Dorrect me here.

To stream music, prefer method is network dlna or minim server.

Then use ipad or android and download the apps which comes with app to catalog the audio or video files to play.

Did i miss something ?

Does network cable matters, i am using bluejeans cat 6a with test reports
*
From my experience, network cables does not matter much. All my cables are solely CAT6A and I did not see any performance issue.

FYI, PM6005 is a great amp that excellent for everything. Except the low freq part not enought power a bit... PM8005 shine on the power part... PM7005 not sure.. never try before..

I also want to know the pricing... Give Desa Home a call la.

any pm7005 user here? and any pm8005 user?
can give comment to pm8005?
i checked singapore price is very tempting.
PM7005 = SGD1100
PM8005 = SGD1250

stylelaser price which i found from mudah
PM7005 = RM5299
PM8005 = RM6299

as i m planning to match it with Dali Zensor 3, but this is not the final decision yet.
because i not sure it match with the marantz amp or not

PM6005 + PM7005 has built in DAC. I bought the PM6005 also for its value for money (built in DAC). However, my experince with the PM6005 built in DAC is just so-so-okay-type experince (maybe 2.5 stars out of 5 stars). In other words, a good seperate DAC or streamer with DAC or SACD with streamer is kind of unavoidable if you want overal good results.

My PM6005 (2 units) built-in DAC sound harsh, especially with bright speakers. And certainly not smooth to enjoy (music domain). Once I have the NA8005 as my music stream and DAC, I finally got the sound that I can hardly complain (maybe details not as much as the Saber). The sound is so much better now... But always remember to get OCC interconnect cables for between amp and DAC. It might cost a bit, but the sound is really more than noticable differences.

any pm-ki pearl lite user here?
can share some comment to this unit? yesterday i went to try speaker and amp. and the shop introduce me pm-ki pearl lite.
but i found that this unit is a discontinued model. so i'm thinking that which to choose between pm8005 or pm-ki pearl lite.

as the pearl lite is rm650 expensive than the pm8005.
as i know the different between both are the copper chassis and ken ishiwata edition.

but do it really worth the extra rm650?
*pm-ki pearl lite = RM4400
*pm8005 = SGD1250

It's really driving me nuts. Until now Desa Still doesn't have PM/CD 6005 or M-CR 611. B&W is having promotion now and I'd like to get the 685 S2 but the only amps there I'm happy with is Roksan K2 / K3, which is a crazy match as they're more expensive than the speakers itself... (And I'll mostly go with digital source anyway)

And I hate and feel stupid to buy the speakers alone without matching amp.

This will be my first setup so after buying the speakers I'm going to sit at home looking at the speakers not connected to anything for god knows how long like an idiot.
