Ain't really working. I think it might be due to lack of grease? That's why the key got stuck when pressed heavy from the sides(one at a time).
I tried not to use the Stabilizer Wire, and the problem solved.  tongue.gif
But, that'll mean not stable too...  doh.gif

Anyway, is Vortex MKB good?

I'm sure you talking about Vortex Poker 2.
Ya, it's a good 60% with lots of modding options.

Not really, I was talking about the TKL ONI thingy. Not sure if it's EOL already...
I think my Shift Key stuck is due to lack of grease.
What grease paste should I put in? And where can I get it?
Thanks.

Actually, costar won't stuck, because it stabilised by the stabiliser with the 2 inserts. sad.gif

You can get synthetic grease like SuperLube if you want.
Lube it, so you can reduce the rattling sound.

Your case, because u installed the shift key wrongly on the stab.
Check your white inserts, because if you installed white insert reversely, your key will be stuck.
Not bullshit, I have experience in this and even others tried that before.

could be the white inserts wrongly placed. there will be a long side and a short side

CODE

_______

something like that.

your key is shift ma right? install the insert in such a way that the long side is away from you and the short side is near to you

and costar (along with cherry stabs) do not need lube to operate but with lube the feeling is smoother and wouldn't cause any sort of imbalance.

I've wasted my costar stabs till squeaky clean, no lubes also still can use.

there is an insanely good further review of Logitechs Romerg mechanical switches here

i'm not surprised logitech decided to go where the market led which was a renewal into mkbs since it's resurgence. but what surprised me was they went even further by developing their own switches rather than be dependent on Cherry corp mx switches nod.gif

I am well aware that, that's why I tried both insert(normal and reverse).
Reverse will cause direct stuck.
Normal is good, but, still stuck when I press strongly at the tip of left or right side of the key.

Why they just don't use the Cherry MX Stem? doh.gif
Wasted so much money on R&D and production.

CM Storm is clever though, making Topre with Cherry MX Stem. thumbup.gif

does this happen with the original key or when u got it?

the shift key is pbt?
i'm not sure if the shift key is warped.
u can test by putting the shift key on a flat surface then press on one side to see if you can play "see saw" with it.

check and see if your stabilizer inserts are properly pressed inside. if can, try other inserts from other keys and see.

another thing to see if the wires are bent more than it should.

last but not least, see if the black stabilizer piece is properly mounted on the plate.

Hello all,

I really want to get the clear switch top from this GB on GH.
I tried to find the same stuff on taobao but to no avail. Can someone lead me to the same transparent cover on taobao.

If there's none on taobao, I might go ahead and buy it from GH.
So if someone wants to get the clear cover and share the shipping cost from US to Malaysia, PM me.

I'm based Kuching Sarawa though. blush.gif

So far for me is still hovering around the 50:50 mark.

Gonna invest in a GMK set (HYPERFUSE) next, and then I'm gonna submarine until a BSP GB that I like... then sayonara everyone I will retire unless someone gifts me a Novatouch tongue.gif

Problem doesn't occur if using original keycaps...
Also tested with other OEM Profile Keycaps, and problemless...
Guess it's the Cherry Profile Keycaps issue on Costar Stab.

check for warping.
if it's warped, u need to use hairdryer technique to make it straight again, but be warned, only do it if it's PBT material keycaps and not to make it too hot less u melt them beyond repair.

Not really warped I think.
I think it's due to the INSERT is too loose, means the keycap holes are too slightly too big for the insert.
Because I tried to put the Insert to OEM Profile Keycap and Original Filco Keycap, they're attached very tightly. But, on my Imsto Cherry Profile Keycaps, they're quite loosen.
That's why when I press the Left Side of the Shift button, the Right Side bump up because the Insert got loosen. I double-checked and it's true.

take a double sided tape, lightly wrap the cross on the white insert and then put it in and it should be not loose now.

looks like the problem you're having is a loose white insert.

and of course you can ignore my post too whistling.gif lol

Both of the methods worked. Either scotch tape or tissue.
darksilver, if you removed all the inserts, you will noticed few are loosen inserts, not all are same.
Just match with similar tightness, then will be ok.
