Whats the meaning of tuning cherry stabilizers? Does that mean lubing it?
*
tune into perfection, adjusting the position
make sure keycaps mounted on it does not rattling and does not stuck at all

bro what lvl or tuning you achieve ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20n-beoOgO8
*
level 3.
based on this video, it is inaccurate.
it does not shows whether keycaps rattle or not when mounted, also it does not demonstrate whether the keycap will stuck due to stabilizer (less likely happen)

my piece of advice: prepare the stabs, mount the plate, and put the switches to each stabilizer, mount keycaps and test whether it is smooth.

Is the Corsair K70 with Blue Switch a good choice for a first time user? Always loved Corsair's design and the palm rest is a BIG factor in the purchase biggrin.gif

I always thought they cost a lot more, only to realise the K70 is around RM400 ish...

Wait a second, if I select blue switches, I get blue backlight? If so, I'd definitely get the Red because red backlit is just so awesome

Newer generations KEYCOOL are all using Kailh Mechanical Switches if I am not wrong.

But, I think Kailh is quite OK too. It's very budget friendly.  thumbup.gif

And, I also find those features on those keyboards are mostly not necessary.
Like tons of extra buttons which is not likely to press... at all. Or, simply, these features don't hurt or affect your usages...

In the end, it's typing speed and feeling that triumph... Linus confirmed that one can type faster using mechanical keyboard in general.
And, MKB switches are more durable and can last longer than rubber dome "switches".
Also, a good MKB have better quality construction(a lot heavier) over a rubber dome keyboard.

So, for me:
Durability, Quality, Speed and Feel of Typing > Extra unnecessary features.  tongue.gif

Not to mention EXTRA MODIFICATION where you can't do on rubber dome keyboards.  thumbup.gif

There are a lot of enthusiast willing to pay for $2,000 just for a basic aluminium keyboard

But from what i can see its ironic cause...
Their case is not full alu. Psu not platinum. Cooling if its air not nickel plated.

Most important hardware on their computer experience gets neglected.

Not all of them but generally. But notice alot of mkb ppl are audiophiles.

Hmm decided to use the razer rgb chroma for main rig n k70 rgb for second. Ducky shine 4 give bro inlaw as cny present.

Waiting now for the das k/b to be shipped.

Because custom mechanical keyboard itself is a study where you find tiny parts to even different lube viscosity give you totally different typing experience.
And it should be separated from PC Hardware.

Custom mechanical keyboard mostly talks about typing experience for different materials/parts/structures of the keyboard you customized.
There are a lot more to discover, if only one is interested. This hobby is niche, way too niche I would say.
