After careful consideration, I took the plunge and bought G710+...
I really need the media control keys and also wrist rest...so now, thinking of changing the keycaps...I think most MX keycaps can fit right? Any recommendation?
Thanks.

That's not careful my friend, I don't think G710+ has a standard layout.

A quick search on ebay, I found this: http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/KBC-Semi-Clear-...=item4d086e5030seems like it can fit except the spacebar...which is enough for me I think...I'll have a look around first... This post has been edited by faidz85: Feb 23 2015, 08:56 AM

Hehe..I am in dire need of macros but even more the media controls esp the volume rocker. Can't live without them. I already took a look at the other mech kbs and decided that I can't live without those 'gaming' features. So poison resistance up! Maybe in the future I will change my mind. But who knows

But who knows Well, once you have heard of Autohotkey, you'll sing a different tune. Of course, having fully customized layouts, keypresses and all your macros on the hardware layer then you'll sing a different tune.

But who knows So sad hearing from you getting a G710+. My last recommendation for Filco, do have 1 series has media controls. Btw, you are not the first person who not take our recommendation seriously.

Haha I admit that Filco quality is top notch. I even fiddled with it at the shop.
But coming from Logitech G110, it makes sense for me to go for something I am familiar with.
I do take your recommendation seriously. It gave me ideas on what to look for in a Mech KB. But I do have other features I can't live by and for me its worth the sacrifice.
Btw, nice color scheme!

People tends to forget those features they want from "Gaming MKB" can be achieved easily with a software. For me, I don't care for those features, a plain standard layout is always best for me.

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Feb 23 2015, 10:37 AM) What kind of features do a gaming keyboard have? Actually none practically. So far I have seen, Random Useless Macro Keys, Volume Adjust Roller, USB Sockets(for you to insert other USB devices), etc... But, all these are not really useful for me.
