Right about that. Just collected the can this afternoon. Went back home to test it for a few songs and my god! I just found sound heaven! By far the best soundwaves that came through my ears man! I can't imagine what higher end cans sounds like. So bro, is the e7 enough to drive the K518DJ? I'm thinking of getting one. You're selling it right?

Out of curiosity, would the E7 make any significant difference in the quality? Simply put, do I really need a USB DAC/Amp for my K518DJ with sources from laptop and phone?

Hi, I am a new owner of a pair of akgk702's wanna ask the sensei-sensei here bout the fiio e7 and e9 combo powering it.

The rated maximum input power at the back of the akg box says 200mW, but the fiio e9 outputs at 1W. I wonder if it will damage the akg k702 long term =.="

P.S. walabies : sorry cant buy from u, i kat india now haha

I'm using E7+E9 combo with my K701/2.
They work just fine, with no gain, I can turn the volume knob all the way to the end. It's not exactly loud but just nice for me.

Newbie in audio accessories (or whatever it is called) reporting!

Just got myself an AKG Q350 (Black) from E1 - AKG!

Such a great headphone and with nice style

I never have an interest in getting a branded and expensive earphone just to hear musics, heck, I don't even have any idea on it.
Hopefully I could learn as much as possible from you guys and of course, Mr Google. Hehe.

Currently pairing it with my iPod and will definitely get a good MP3/MP4 player in the near future.

HI, where do you located? Come over and have a listen at my place then? i have both for audition here. And, E7+E9 shall not be able to drive K701. I have all the unit here, the volume are there, but the details just do not be refined.

IF you are looking for amplifier for K701, you need very high current amp, please vote for maverick a1, or even better amp

E7 and E9 is a good entry level setup. But there is something to be better in the same price range. Just maybe the person who did the comments do not have the explosure for better alternative

K701 is good. But we always describe it to be a amp hunger. As most of the entry level amplifier do not able to drive it nicely. How do you define "drive it nicely"? If you have the chances to listen to how was the fully maximise K701 sound, you will get the idea. A bad combinations can make K701 to be very hollow, or empty sounding.

As such, Please do consider well, IF you are target for huge soundstage, this is the one to go. But, you will need to take up more funds afterwards. The ratio for K701 is 1:1.5, If you wan to make it sound nice, you will need to spend RM1.5 for amp where your headphone are RM1. I have so many customer/friends placing their K701 collecting dusts this baby need a big time amplifier.

Please let us know what is your music preference, K701 are good for classical music, jass music, but if you are making this baby for rock, so sorry, K701 can never be rock.

Guys, I'm planning of getting k702 soon for home use and on-the-go(sometimes) with my Sony A846 player. Do I need an amp for it? Any recommended amp for it?
