actually speakers can be put in many places, just see if it looks nice there or not onli. i've been banging my door(old car) for years and nothing is wrong so far.

what if i use head unit 4 channel but my amp 2 channel. i have a woofer and 1 set component. i want to buy another set component. how does the installation?

actually the rear no need component set, it's a waste of money. just stock speaker will do.

and the installer person said must put relay with my HU to protect my HU......
is it true?????
he quot me around rm30-40 for the relay...
and i dont know the function......

in this case, to protect ur HU from power surge esp. when u turn on engine. just like UPS for coms.

A standard fuse is more than good to protect this power surge issue. It's a waste of money. Your installer is trying to 'korek' from u especially in this CNY season.

haha, a system without bass then. no HU can power a sub, maybe u can have the proc. functions but i really doubt it will give u a clear and nice sound. so the verdict is no... must be with amp.
actually if we think properly, our stock system oso direct from HU to speakers, do we call it active system? i really doubt it.

recently i bought 3050ub + type s alpine component + 4 channel prospec amp ps4.60(1600watts) + mohawk 12'woofer ms124

the question is
1) Izzit normal to use 2 channel on front and rear speaker?
2)izzit better to focus the 2 channel onto my component and the rear take it out?
3) since i use 2 channel for front and rear and 2 more for my woofer, would it be advisable to get another 2 channel amp for my woofer and the 4 channel amp for the front only?

i still new in ICE and all equipment above are based on my budget

i assume dat u r going to setup ur system 4 going loud, would recommend u to use the 4 channel for front and rear, and get another monoblock or 2ch amp for ur sub.

someone help me with this, how much do normal ICE shops charge for installation of a HU? just a simple HU, nothing fancy.

usually if u buy the HU from them, the price they charge includes the installation charges. but if u dont buy from them but simply ask them to install it for u, it should be 10 bucks.

wow 10 bucks only? so cheap?

my friend bought a brand new HU from brother's last week and was charged an additional rm30 for installation charges. did he get ripped off or is that just brother's?

no comments on this. never been to brothers. but i think he was conned.

installing a HU is quite simple. so, i think it is safe to say that any accessories shop should do. i am not from subang jaya, so i cant recommend any. but any shop will do.
