A standard fuse is more than good to protect this power surge issue. It's a waste of money. Your installer is trying to 'korek' from u especially in this CNY season.

You might want to check your wire connection at the battery and the fuse connection. I have the same problem in the past and was rectified after I changed the fuse. Sometimes, the fuse is not in good condition so current flow is affected hence u may face power discruption.
