If link touch n go card to the touch n go wallet.
If using lrt, will it eat the touch n go wallet credit or touch n go card credit?

Pay Direct is not enabled for rails yet right?
If not using Pay Direct, it'll eat the card balance.

I don't get the PayDirect feature. Shouldn't TnG be promoting their RFID, why are they promoting physical card usage at toll booths?

They're promoting their eWallet. All your money in your eWallet and you use it with RFID or TNG card. As you know, everybody has a TnG card. More methods in the future. NFC watches, phones all linked to the TnG wallet.Even now you can already do online purchases with the eWallet.

No need to have money stuck in the TnG card nor to keep it topped up. Which is what many of us do now as a backup to RFID/wallet.

they cannot ignore those "card" users in the market which were acquired for decades.

what they're doing is migrating card users gradually to ewallet-based.

with PayDirect, it's a link to both worlds.

on reload side, obviously this move will kill off ePay who offers TNG card reload facilities to offline merchants.  laugh.gif of course,  indirect impacting us who are chasing cashback as well.

This. Meaning those reloads with pieces of paper with the PINs printed on them right? I actually do most of my TnG eWallet reloads this way. Seldom with CC.

But now the PayDirect is only for tolls right? You mean it will expand to other means in the future?

Sure, why not? In the future, it'll just be a conduit that allows your money to flow from your wallet to the merchant. Handy when your phone has just been stolen or is out of battery. Everyone has one.

Just installed the rfid sticker at waterfront desapark for free. However I have a question on the touch n go statement. If I use rfid to pay tolls it won't reflect in the usual tngo e statement right? Only available on the app?

Second question is can we merge few touch n go cards balances tgt? I have a couple of cards with a few ringgit each and just don't want for them to go to waste after expiry
