TNG eWallet update...

What's New in Ver. 1.5.6

We have awesome things running just for you!

Get 1 complimentary movie ticket every Saturday when you purchase at least 1 movie ticket over-the-counter from TGV Cinemas using your TNG eWallet.

Want more rewards? We’ve got that covered! Now you can win up to RM 888 cashback when you transact with your TNG eWallet at our participating merchants. Pay, Tap and Win. How easy does that sound?

Also, there are less bugs crawling in the app now!

Paid for a book in Popular but I didn't get triggered to join The Tap & Win campaign. doh.gif

No wonder. I was about to ask why I didn't see any cashback option upon paying at Jaya's Grocer just now. doh.gif

What do we do with inactive T&G..found my old card still got RM inside..but cannot use
*
Keep in mind that dormant card will be charged a reactivation fee so you might want to check if the remaining balance is worth the trouble.

Last i checked, the reactivation fee for dormant card is RM5.

Honestly speaking can't tell what's the point of having the e-wallet and the physical card in separate account. Initially thought the e-wallet will be linked to my card. doh.gif

Getting T&G e-wallet is like having another card to reload. literally facepalm.
*
It's the technology behind the card that prevents it from being integrated into the app as a single entity.

The upcoming RFID will be utilizing the balance in the app & this points to the disposal of the card in the near future.

Hi is you again! wave.gif If they have plans on combining the e-wallet to the physical card like bigpay, that'd be great. Just that I don't see any purpose of having another e-wallet since I don't really use T&G card to pay, let alone their e-wallet. hmm.gif

And not to mention they charge extra for parking. doh.gif Everywhere charging lesser for saving paper but they actually charging extra. aiks. unsure.gif
*
There are currently a few ongoing promotions for the TnG eWallet so you might want to save it in your phone for now.

With regards to the parking convenience fee, there's been some conflicting news / rumours. Some said that the extra charge was levied by the parking lot owner, not TnG but there were also some that said it was TnG that benefited from it. rclxub.gif

Thanks for sharing. Sigh... looks like it's gonna be a long way to go before parking operators adhere to the no surcharge directives.

They still owe Penangites LRT / MRT so if push too much, later both of them also fall off Penang Bridge. sweat.gif

Penangites LRT / MRT falls under CKY (not CKT).
*
OOT but last time they blame the BN federal government for placing a roadblock to Penang's LRT. Now that PH is the federal government for >6 months, still no news about the LRT. CKY still insists on building more elevated highway only.

Anyway, OOT so let's not delve too much into this.

Maybe I should try each month's soft PIN then  blink.gif  biggrin.gif

T&C clearly states it won't work if you have reloaded first... maybe if you get the RM5 cashback from first reload, we won't be entitled to.

Did you get the RM5 cashback from 1st reload offer ?
*
I believe I did but honestly, I can't remember very well since TnG eWallet wasn't implemented very well when they first start it. Unlike the other eWallets, TnG eWallet has limited range of past transaction records so I can't even check back my previous transactions. sweat.gif

Finally I saw the button to redeem cashback upon payment... and it was soo small. biggrin.gif

Paid for RM5.90 & received RM1.20 cashback. I think the cashback amount will always be lower than the payment amount. hmm.gif

Update on cashback
Tealive rm1
TGV RM1
Popular 2.70
Oldtown 1.20

Wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to get cashback if we scan the merchant qr code instead of merchant scan us.
*
No, TnG is very adamant that we need to use the "Pay" button to be eligible for the cashback.

Still ongoing but you might need to push the counter guy to give you the deal. I was at Gurney Paragon last month & he insisted that this deal wasn't eligible for morning RM8 tickets.

I checked with TGV on Twitter & they said it's eligible.

OK, this is a tad bit frustrating. Anyone able to top-up their TnG eWallet now? I was able to top-up RM10 this morning from my Maybank Barca VS but when I tried again in the evening, it failed before it even reaches the OTP page.
