What happens if I do not have sufficient funds in my Touch ‘n Go eWallet?
A:
You can still pass through the toll if your Touch ‘n Go card has sufficient fund as the toll fare will be deducted from your Touch ‘n Go card.QUOTE(MGM @ Apr 25 2019, 10:12 PM)
So if u r passing thru a RFID lane, n if ewallet no money then RFID doesn't work n u need to use TnG card n touch the reader?

He was asking if the e-wallet balance is lower than the toll charge, can RFID (not physical TnG card) deduct the money from the linked TnG card?
Am I understanding it wrongly?

The above statement said that when using physical TnG card at PayDirect merchant:
1. If e-wallet balance is enough, using TnG card linked to TnG e-wallet, the balance in the e-wallet will be utilized first at merchants under PayDirect (including toll operators).
2. If e-wallet balance is not lower than the toll charge, the balance of the physical card will be used then.

RFID can access to your TnG card balance?
When you use RFID, the fare will always be deducted from your Touch 'n Go eWallet. When there is no sufficient balance in your eWallet, the barrier will not open and baki kurang will be displayed on the panel. If you are at the dedicated lane, you will have to reverse out and go to Touch 'n Go lane or Smart Tag lane as the Touch 'n Go reader has been removed/deactivated at all dedicated RFID lanes. If you are at the Hybrid RFID/TnG lane, then you can take out your physical Touch 'n Go card and tap it at the reader. If you are at the Hybrid RFID/SmartTag lane, then you need to take out your Smart Tag device for the reader to read. If you do not have a Smart Tag device, it seems like you have to wait for the attendant to come to activate the Touch 'n Go reader for you to tap your physical card.
If you have your physical Touch 'n Go card details stored in the eWallet, then you can use your stored card at PayDirect supported highways and fare will be deducted from your eWallet. You have to tap the physical card. And only when your eWallet has insufficient fund, then the fare will be deducted from that particular physical card that you use.
Many users have complained about not being able to reload the Touch 'n Go card from the eWallet. So with PayDirect, you don't have to reload the card, but only reload the eWallet. The card will act as a medium.
