the reason is that they need to create an account (bill) to start the installation procedure. but this also cause different installation vs billing date.

just calculate urself.

rm 68 x days of use /30

hmm..im testing the 3G broadband now for 30days..maxis came to my college and promote it.

so far already download 1GB the 1st day,2nd day 1.5GB..

usual download speed if direct download, ranging from 10~40kbps for problematic websites(asian webs, earthquake cables mayb?)....while downloading from US websites average around 80~150kbps.

i downloaded my o2jam client in around 15mins.

btw, im using the 384kbps...

ps: torrent not yet tested.

btw, im currently downloading ragnarok battle offline from filecloud.com for the sake of my roomate (he loves playing it)

current speed now is 240kBps~350kBps (note the big "B" there, and not some small "b") sweat.gif

still, it's a 384kbps package.... sweat.gif

either u stop on the first month, or stop on the 18 month. no in between.

same like tmnet lar.. either lock in for 12 or 24 month.

if u terminate early, u need to pay eventhough u not using.

Added on February 7, 2007, 9:09 pmcloud, if u cannot go certain site/download u can always use proxy.
refer to previos 1 or 2 pages for instruction.

Yeah i went to maxis KLCC to clarify it ,online bill is ONLY for MAXIS mobile POSTPAID account.

You can go to klcc center to set up direct debit to your credit card or go to bank to have direct debit from your account back.

I previously staying at OUG Heights...the connection there sux to the max connection on EGDE staying on 5th floor. However in puchong and cyberjaya the connection sometimes its godsend then streamyx.

However remember there is a 3giga limit upload+download.

The connection will auto select ...it will follow like below .
HSDPA>3G>EGDE>GPRS

To check what your connection , connect to the modem. and type \\192.169.0.1 or \\192.168.0.1 you will see the ZTE connection tab. look at there on what your current connection.

itemise billing can be disabled.

Added on February 5, 2007, 9:14 pmwufei. ur bill looks correct. ur monthly usage is pro-rated.

remember to argue this:

- is ur installation date same as billing date?
installation date shud be much later than the billing date so can save some ringgits.

bro wat do u mean by "itemise billing can be disabled" ???

i subscribed it during their promotion at my college last 2 weeks.yesterday only they sent the modem to me, including doing some setup to my laptop (to their modem actually)

accessing internet is juz like streamyx; u on the modem, plug in to ur pc or laptop, and after a minute u're ready to go smile.gif
