I hav subscribe maxis broadband at pc fair on sunday. The speed is excellent except for p2p. So do i get a week or a month of trial? I'm thinking of unsubscribed it

anyone can help me?? i'm just subscribe to this maxis as my area streamyx ports is full... rite now i kenot play ragnarok online.. it says kenot connect with the server.. and my torrents seems not responding.. anyone can rectify this problem??

torents??? dun even dream of it.maybe after 1am u can try.maxis only open p2p on 1am to 6am everyday.other times no.i also ragnarok online player.can play but lagging.if ur ping is 200ms and above, very hard to get to ragnarok.

i signed up for maxis broadband in PC fair but i don hav time to instal it, my fren is doing it now(i m not around). she said she can't connect at all...
can someone give step by step guide here?

first thing is:
they give u sort of like a handphone simcard rite?
install it into the modem maxis provide u
then plug those ethernet cables and fix the antenna for ur modem

second is ur pc part:
u need to make sure: ur TCP/IP protocol setting is set to :obtain an ip address automatically, and obtain dns address automatically

3rd is:
power on the modem,plug ethernet cable into ur network card.den go toilet and go for a drink.it needs quite some time to get connection.ard 3 minutes i suppose.den u try on firefox or IE.no need use any dialer or watsoeva.if webpage can load..means succusssful.if after 10 minutes u see ur RSSI light on ur modem still blinking,means u hv to relocate ur modem.thts all.

I just connect the modem to PC. Connect power to modem and turn on the switch at the back of modem. After that, just wait for it to connect. Look for the RSSI light. If the light is on, its connected. Maybe u can look at the status of connection in the browser. Run cmd and type ipconfig. Paste the default gateway num in ur browser. It should show the status.

Anyone know is there 30 days trial for applying it during pc fair? I'm not gonna stuck with maxis for a whole year+

Do check whether ur a/c oledi activated? Dun troubleshoot the whole thing until forget the basic.

What happened to maxis? I was unable to access any site from 21:00 until 23:20 this evening, eventhough the modem page show I am connected on HSDPA!!

account activated on tht day itself during PC fair, as they promised....

I think Maxis is currently having maintenance. It seems that their cell phone counterparts is affected too.

Don't think about torrent. Because Maxis block all p2p at 6am onwards until 1am. p2p activity only can be done at 1am onwards until 6am. Grab this 5 hours time to torrent as much as you can but the torrent speed will not be that kind of fast. All depends on your area.

Yesterday night I BT can get 30kbps stable. can finish 100mb bt download around 1 hour.

If screamyx i dont think u can hit so high dload

I reach 70-80 kbps using streamyx. But after use Maxis. I seldom BT.

hurm... yesterday i wanna play ragnarok.. but the server cannot be connected at all.. huhuuh.. so sad.. about torrent..yes..only on that time it's moving.. haha...
i dun have any other choices to go for internet as my area streamyx port is full.. and others im not sure got coverage or not...

i tell u.today i went to maxis return their modem and stuff.they said they still charge customers based on how many days they've used even though stilll in trial period.i saw a notice at their counter.it goes like dat:


MAXIS WIRELESS BROADBAND WILL NOW GIVEN A TRIAL PERIOD OF 7 DAYS INSTEAD OF 30 DAYS BEGINNING 30 MAY 2007.THE 30 DAYS TRIAL HAS ENDED DUE TO ITS ONLY A PROMOTION TO A NEWLY LAUNCHED SERVICE.

cannot bypass this p2p blockage???
