Umm Hi....I am interested in getting an Alligator Snapping Turtle (preferably hatchling), anyone can point me to the right direction? I am staying in PJ and I have been to a couple of reputed pet stores (88 pet store, Irene Aquarium, and a few others) and all I have found are common snappers.
Would any of the members here recommend a place to purchase one and around how much damage am I going to be looking at? Thanks in advance for all and any feedback!! Cheers! |

I feed them once in a week with feeding fish and they just love it. |

That way is much better. Hi uzairi,For now, there's no stock for juvenile ally. There's only adult ally which were selling at around rm1k each. Would you mind sharing with me the difficulties of owning an Ally Snapper? I had a common snapper for around 2 years until I left to further my studies and it was given away to someone, are they very different in terms of caring for? Frankly, I have no interest in any other turtles, but I am willing to hear out why it is a difficult breed to care for. I definitely do not wish to turn out as a irresponsible pet owner and thus I would like to gather a little more feedback before I commit myself. I apologize in advance for asking so many questions, but I do thank you all for the replies thus far and I am looking forward to getting more feedback from you all here. Cheers! |

They are not aggressive as ally snapper. The common snapper are just more active compared the ally snapper.QUOTE(BillyJoe2212 @ Nov 16 2006, 08:52 AM) Since you have a common snapper last time, then i don't think its hard for you. They are roughly the same just that they differ in the way they eat and how active they are. Ally snappers are more aggressive compared to common snapper. And they don't chase their food like how common snapper did. They need a good filtration system to prevent algae build up on their carapace. Try to avoid handling them as they can be quite aggressive and might snap you finger off easily. Other than that i don't think there's anything left. |
