Uzairi, finally can view the pictures you posted. The dead one is a Malayan Flatshell turtle, Notochelys Platynota. Am sure you know it. Hey why the rest all plastron shots only? Give us some shots of the whole turtle buddy Cheers.

Yeah, u noticed the malayan boxie eh ? That's what i can get before the battery died. Later when im back at home again i'll take more pictures including my snappers. I changed the tank for him and it looks like he's recovering. I wonder why, maybe the tank was toxicated maybe.

Now feel so sad..... both of my star have been bite my dog (that damm ass dog)  . now they cedera parah,  both can see the organ, 1 lagi teruk, the organ spoil out  ...... they still dont die yet but will die after some times. what should i do???

I put them under sunlight for basking. that times i close all the gates, mana tahu that damm ass dog jump into my house from gates sebelah  (that times i play games, i dont see it). 
  Vet?? my place only got 1 vet (UPM Vet) but they only take care dog and cat only. so what should i do now????

I'm looking for a tortoise for my backyard. Something really really huge and friendly and don't require much attention. Any suggestions and where can I buy it?

I think I rather see how it grows up which would be pretty cool. So leopard or sulcata eh? Only 88 dollars for a baby one? How long does it take to grow to that size? 6 years?! Darn, if that's the case, on second thought, maybe I rather get one which is semi-huge already.

Another option is Burmese Mountain Tortoise. RM550 for adult which is around 10kg, and RM500 for juveniles. Location - Ikano Pets Safari.

Radiated are expensive. Burmese Star are more expensive.

That one should not be used as a daily food. Just for stuff for them to play or for fun.

actually im thinking of rearing a tortoise, but what kind of tortoise is more suitable to stay outdoor, to walk freely at a compound?

Yeah, but breeding turtles/tortoise is a bit hard. Will try my best to make it a successfull breeding project.
p/s: Btw, i just came across a wild Asian Leaf Turtles on my way back to cyberjaya. A female, quite big, bigger than any Asian Leaf i had.  I took it home and wash it and feed it. There's a lot of them here, just that they are inside the forest next to the road. I wonder where they'd go if the government cut all those trees and develop cyberjaya even more.

and if it's de elongated... as i see it's nice... but it's not so nice on de pics i found on de net about elongated... de one i see are more light beige even it's carapace too but most pics on elongated i've seen are mostly brown wif patches and yes, de patches are very much like elongated....

btw, wat's de market price are like? expensive?? as i see my dad client's house are for sure EXPENSIVE! hahaaa!! donno whether the pet is or not tho tat's not de solely pet around... hehe...

Well, it seems that ure not giving it the right foods. I wonder why, mine was healthy even without basking them under the sun. Only pellets and the shell is strong. I feed mine with Nutrafin Basix and Sanyu turtle sticks.

and yes... i don sun them either... they grew well without any problem... hmm... i oso just feed my RES turtle pellets and some veges... mostly cabbage...

neway, would wanna ask haf anyone here had a problem wif their turtles growing algae/fungus on their carapace? mine did! hmm... and i never had this problem b4 but now... why and what's de cause?

ekiddie, better watch out as Musk turtles tend to snap whenever being held up.

crazymouse, if you got the picture from Pet Family then its a Razorback Musk. LoggerHead Musk have an orange plastron whereas Razorback Musk dont.

eujax... ya, thanks for de advice... i can see tat too... everytime i held them up... they are opening their jaw and tries to bite me! hahaaa!! and as i see... stinkpot have a longer neck! their neck can really stretch till de back... well, not to far back lar but quite back too!

kena bitten by razors and not on de finger but at de skin's part... de most vulnerable to bites! hahaaa!! nvm lar... learn...

go petsmore... got black breasted leafs there... 3 of 'em... nice!

all de radiated i saw are > RM1K... i wonder, are they THAT nice? i see sulcata looked alot nicer than radiated... to those who donno... radiated = stars to them! hahaaa!!

kamekame... u want malayan box turtles ka? next round i go Penang, i get it for u want? they don cost high price... but definately special than a normal RES lor... hehe... actually, their carapace are nice too and it's an easy turtle to pet... they can be dry, lil' damp or even on wet... works well for malayan box...

Uz: I think my Tortue is getting fat la. From the front he looks like he's going to outgrow his shell anytime soon!

(Btw, my water is a bit cloudy/hazy. Just tukar air semalam so I can't understand it. Will it be bad for Tortue?)

a month ago my dad got influenced by me and he started looking around for tortoise in my hometown. He couldn't find one decent one

so i decided to give bubu to him cause it is already stable and in good heath

upon giving out bubu i got excuse to buy my ABCDE gang... Hehe... Yesterday they are exactly one month with me

Yeah, actually its okay to get a Star but half of them suffer from dead tortoise. Some because lack of care and some died because of metabolic bone desease and this one cant be avoided. So if u dare to take the risk, why not aite ?
