QUOTE(kamekame8888 @ Sep 17 2006, 01:49 PM) Thank you to both of you...i would not dare to try the Impressa tortoise for sure. Elongate maybe...or some water based turtles...Stinkpot...even Razorback stinks? wow...susah laa ni...afterd my whole room stink! Kamekame,Kamekame. Well actually Razors dont stink like what Stinkpots do. Stinkpot have the ability to produce the smelly odour from the inner part of their limbs while Razor dont. As for beginner, i would say a water based turtle is easier to take care of, just make sure you have a good setup with filtration system. Try to get a Red Ear Slider maybe? Or even a Malayan Box Turtle is interesting Regards |

Uzairi, hows your Ally Snapping Turtle? I hope they are fine. Anyway that is water concern and sometimes its the shipment of the fish as well. How did you store your snapper? In an aquarium? They actually produce some acid over time so its best to change the water every week or the most two weeks..that is if you have the water running as in filtrating. Just my 2c.

QUOTE(dai86 @ Sep 17 2006, 08:48 AM) well, there is a stall in selayang mall (where i incharge) and our shop in mutiara jalan ipoh there. haha... our business are still new, so we are still developing it. we only have little basic thing like pets, food, and some cage as our product~ hehe... some here know where lah cause they went and see and eventually buy before dai86, i believe Chaco Tortoise is pretty rare here in Malaysia. In fact i've never seen it so far. Maybe you should try Red Footed or Pancake, pretty unique imho. Radiated is nice but thats some serious pricing we are talking bout. ooo... beside star tortoise, leopard tortoise, and sulcata, anyone own others type of tortoise? like red foot, yellow foot, chaco, pancakes... (except uzairi lah) hehe... ( i am looking for a chaco~~ Regards |

there are a few shops around petaling street area (which the jalan sultan ones oso considered count as petaling street area lor...) most of them sell dogs n cats and a 1 or 2 mainly on birds...
there's one shop which they do have exotics but u'll never haf guess from the outlook that they have this exotics... it's hidden from the look coz' most buyers are lured in to see dogs and cats... and another thing is those shops are old and looks dirty which indeed they are... hmm... the most 'new' and clean pet shops ard in petaling street area is petsmore lor... have a radiated and baby stars... if i can recall, de radiated are RM1.5K and baby stars are priced at RM120 or RM130... it's not worth purposely going to have a look... not tat they are way more cheaper... but if passby, no harm taking a sneak peak lor... hehe... |

Well, for babies it costs around rm200. Big ones depends on the colour, and how nice it looks. Roughly i would say rm500 for a nice ones. But they are limited so its hard to find them. There's 2 in Pets Family at ss24/8 but they costs rm1k like that if im not mistaken.

uzairi, elongated is more expensive than star tortoise now lah. hehe.. so stars is still the cheapest tortoise in market.
ooo.... water basic turtle...i think we got two. one is a razorback if i not mistaken. another one is new one, is something that look like a Three-keeled Musk Turtle (i say it depend on what he told me, that is the turtle shell shape like a 'w' ) i saw the pancakes tortoise at last...eee... it is not as what i thinking before...... huh~~~ so i decided not to add it into my pet list! hehe... now i will stop with my 3 stars, and while waiting for chaco tortoise, i will rare sugar glider! haha...
