Open the door panel and check what is actually squeeking then only decide. Before that, check also whether striker plate wrapper ady broken, there's 1 layer of rubbery thing wrapped around the striker plate's hook to avoid your door grinding the lock whilst chassis flex, when that rubbery thing gone then it will squeek. Temporary measure will be use wire tape to wrap around the hook. Otherwise, getting a new strike plate will only cost you some RM18 iirc.

No worries, Bro! Feel very sure yu can do it wan!! notworthy.gif
Also no need belanja wan...

To remove door panel :
1. Pull off triangular black plastic cover for door mirror.
2. Remove screw on top upper left of door panel.
3. Remove screw in cavity behind PWin switches.
4. Remove screw in door latch unit
5. Push inwards door latch unit to separate it from the panel. It will still remain attached to door.
6. Pull outwards edge of plastic door panel step by step (either in clockwise or anticlockwise direction) to remove it. Plastic plugs are used to attach the door panel to the door itself.
7. Lift upwards loosened door panel to clear it from the window ledge and the door lock knob.

That's it!  thumbup.gif  icon_idea.gif

To put door panel back is juz the reverse of above nia.

Pls send 1 cup kopi-O here...TQ! rolleyes.gif

Case to case basis, we have very little information on the transponder chip model. However, price to made 1 key here in Malaysia, factory will reset the transponder code and the immobilizer 1 shot(together with the new key) would cost around RM200. Translate in Oz would be around 70 bucks I guess.

It's something I'd like to do myself, I did it with my previous Hyundai and do enjoy the tinkering as well as gaining a smaller more pocket friendly key. The chip info is a bit lacking with some claiming an id8c which may be somewhat mythical as I've seen mention of universal types which has raised my interest.
I've ordered another programmer as my old one sadly won't handle proton, so I may work it out later, at least I'll have some fun playing.
Despite an exchange rate that would indicate AU$1 = about RM3 as far as buying Saga parts goes AU$1 = <RM1
Soon enough I'll need to buy parts and I'm sure going to look into getting them sent from Malaysia, even with cruel postage charges they should still be cheaper than local supply.

The front speakers hole inside wet lo. Good thing there aren't any circuits if not short circuit whistling.gif

I wash car as usual, spray water sure kena mah. By right it SHOULD NOT seep it to the speaker area. Pening now bikin.

Brader, driver dah heavy wont make so much diff la. biggrin.gif
You gota shed some weight, weight reduction foc. tongue.gif

I agree that you at least have to change the HU and stock speakers, it does make a difference. Add one two speakers can be done later to save cost, sometimes got bundle one set with 4 speakers you untung lo. smile.gif
